"JULIE! WALLY ATE ALL THE APPLES-!" Barnaby announced, as everyone's attention turned to Wally, who blinked innocently. "Really, Wally?" Y/n said with a smirk. Howdy groaned. "I'll go get the hidden stash from my store... YOU BETTER NOT EAT ALL OF THOSE ONES TOO-" Howdy pointed at Wally and gave him a look, before walking away towards his store.
"Any news on how the progress is going with Eddie proposing, Julie?" Y/n asked excitedly, as Julie finished decorating the display table. "Well, Eddie is nervous, but I'm sure it will go well! There's no way Frank will say no! Now, could you help me hang this up?" Y/n nodded happily as the two finished setting up.

"W-what?" Eddie was down on one knee, with a ring up towards Frank. "Frank, will you marry me?" Frank's stared at Eddie in shock. "I- wow- Eddie!- This is so sudden... I-I'm sorry, but I think I need to processes this." Frank backed up before walking away quickly, leaving Eddie behind on one knee. The color drained from Eddie's face as his heart shattered in two.
He stood up and looked at the sky as rain clouds started to form. A drop of water hit his face and moved down along with the tears that formed in his eyes. Eddie walked slowly back to his home as the rain began to pour harder. He got to the door all soaked and opened it. "SURPRISE!" Everyone shout, but came to a halt when they saw Eddie's state. Julie ran up to Eddie and put her hands on his shoulders.
"Eddie?? What happened!?" Eddie stared at the floor, still trying to process everything. "They said they needed time to think about this..." Julie looked at Eddie with a saddened expression, as everyone came over and hugged Eddie. Tears fell down his cheeks. "What did I do wrong?"

Everyone packed up the party stuff and left for their separate homes. Julie and Eddie were sitting on the couch. Eddie was holding a cup of tea Julie had made him and had a blanket wrapped around him. "Eddie, it's not your fault... maybe Frank needed a moment to process? I'm sure things will come around!" Eddie stared into his cup of tea.
"You know what? I need to go talk to them." Eddie said, before standing up. Julie stood up as well and nod. With that, Eddie grabbed an umbrella and marched over to Frank's. He made it to the porch and was about to knock on the door, when Frank opened it. The two made eye contact and Frank looked down. "Eddie... I've been thinking and I-" Eddie put a hand on Frank's shoulder.
"I understand if you're not ready, dear. I'm sorry I pressured you. I know marriage is a big commitment and if you want to take this slow, that is totally ok." Eddie looked into Frank's eyes and saw tears flow down their face. "Eddie... I do want to marry you. It's just, I wasn't mentally prepared..." Eddie's eyes widened. "So, you do want to marry me?"
Frank wiped their tears, before nodding. A smile adorn Eddie's face as he hugged Frank tightly. "I love you, Frank." Frank hugged back tightly and sobbed slightly. "I-I love you too, Eddie." The two stayed like that for a moment, before Frank pulled away. "Could you propose again? I want to do it right this time." Eddie's eyes lit up in excitement, as he got down on one knee.

The next day, Eddie and Frank made their way over to Eddie's house. As Eddie cracked the door open, him and Frank jumped in shock by a sudden "SURPRISE!" The two looked around at all of the neighbors standing inside. "Julie?" Eddie asked with confusion but excitement. "Eddie, I waited for you to come back last night and when you didn't, I quickly figured out that things went well." Eddie and Frank's faces reddened, before they looked down sheepishly.
"Well come out back with us! We set up something special!" Everyone happily went out to the backyard and began to party. "I've gotta say, Julie, I didn't expect that you would be able to set this up so fast again." Julie smiled and winked at Eddie. "Well, the yesterday's rain did ruin some of the decor, but we managed!" The two laughed, before mingling with the rest of the neighbors.
Y/n grabbed a cup of apple cider and looked around at the group, before they noticed Wally sneaking under the table cover and grabbing apples. A smirk formed on their face, as they waltzed over and stood above him. Wally shoved an apple into their pockets and stood up, before jumping at seeing Y/n standing above them. "Oh uh, hey, Y/n..." Y/n gave him a "really?" look, while Wally scratched the back of his neck.
"Please don't tell Howdy." Y/n laughed and grabbed an apple, before putting it into Wally's hand and winking. "I won't." Wally smiled and blushed, as the two walked over to a tree and sat down against it. The sun smiled down on all of the neighbors as the sweet tune of Golden Afternoon played from a record player. Y/n watched as Frank and Eddie happily conversed and for some reason they couldn't help but glance at Wally.
As they did, the two made eye contact, before looking away awkwardly. "Hey Y/n...?" Y/n glanced back at Wally, who had a blushed face. "I've been meaning to tell you that I -" before Wally could continue, Y/n kissed his cheek. Wally's eyes widened and his heart skipped a beat. A whistle sounded, as Y/n and Wally looked at where the whistle came from and saw Barnaby.
Barnaby winked and gave them finger guns, before walking over to Julie and whispering and pointing at them. The two blushed and looked at each other, before awkwardly laughing. The rest of the party went on, until late evening. Everyone began to pack up the decorations and put away things. Howdy went to grab the apple basket, when he saw Wally stuffing more apples into his pockets.
The two made eye contact, before Wally quickly dashed away. Howdy raced after him and yelled to give the apples back. Everyone's attention went to them and watched, as Howdy picked Wally up and shook him, causing the apples to fall out of their pockets. Y/n snickered along with the others, as Howdy set Wally down and pat their back. "Well, that's a fun way to end the evening."
