Just the other day,
I took my hands off the steering wheel.
It wasn't anything crazy.
I just wanted to remember the gift of
Letting go.
The car began swerving to the left,
and then to the right.
A couple more feet,
and I would have been ready to
summit for the fall
But before I knew it
the road straightens out.
And my hands are on the steering wheel once more.
Clenching tighter as the tires begin to tremble,
losing their embrace of the road.
Leading me to a surface of depths
Unknown to man
Or so it was, until I grabbed the steering wheel.
Resisting the urge to not Let go.
