Just a normal night in Bangtan dorm.
"KIM TAEHYUNG! WHY THE HELL YOU ATE MY DUMPLINGS!" Jimin yelled.
"AHH HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU THAT I ONLY ATE MY PORTION! I NEVER TOUCHED YOURS!" Taehyung yelled back.
And then there were Jungkook and Hoseok, who were arguing while playing Overwatch.
"Hyung you are so bad at this- You can't even do this!"
"Yaaah Jungkook YOU ARE THE ONE DOING IT WRONG NOT ME!"
And in this whole mess, Namjoon and Yoongi were talking about lyrics while sipping their coffee.
Meanwhile, Jin was sitting with his head down on the dining table.
He.Was.Fed.Up
Not because of the members though. Well yeah many times he shouted and scolded them, but he loved his younger brothers just too much to be even get fed up from them.
It was because of their schedule. It was just to congested.
This month they never got to rest properly. Their schedule was packed with MV shooting, photoshoot, interviews, dance practices and what not.
In short, he just wanted a break from all this.
And so he decided to fake his illness. To be fair, it is not only for him but the members too would be getting a break that they all needed.
So he went back to his room to sleep, hoping that his plan would go accordingly.
The next day:
Yoongi was preparing breakfast for the members. Usually Jin does this job while he assists Jin, but today Jin wasn't awake. And Yoongi saw how tired Jin was yesterday so he didn't woke him up and took the job himself.
Soon the other members except Jin crowded the kitchen.
"Jin hyung isn't here?" Jungkook asked while yawning.
"No, he is still in his room probably sleeping." Yoongi replied.
"Well he seemed very worned out yesterday." Jimin said with concern in his voice.
"Our schedule is just to hectic." Namjoon said with a tiring voice while the others agreed.
"I will go to check on him." Taehyung said.
Jin on the other hand was wide awake, just waiting for the footsteps to come so he could start his acting and as soon as he heard some footsteps, he jumped into acting.
As soon as Taehyung entered Jin's room, he saw him fully covered by the blanket, shivering and coughing.
"Hyu- hyung you good?" Tae asked, concern in his voice.
Jin slightly sat up and said with a hoarse voice "Do-don't wo-worry Tae." He could only say this while coughing continuously.
"Hyung just lay down, I am coming." And Taehyung immediately left to get the other members.
"I am an acting major for nothing." Jin internally praised himself for his acting skills and now was waiting for the rest to arrive.
Meanwhile a panicked Tae told this to rest of the members.
"Aish that's why he was looking so off yesterday!" A panicked Hoseok cried.
"Don't worry hyung. I am going to inform our manager to postpone our schedule." And with that Namjoon left for a quite place to make a phone call.
Yoongi and Hoseok went to the kitchen ro prepare some porridge while the Maknaes went to their Jin hyung.
And that's how the members ended up taking care of their eldest brother the whole day.
Jin's acting skills were on point. No one questioned anything.
However he was feeling bad for cheating his younger brothers.
He wanted to make everyone get some rest. But he was the one getting all the rest. The others were busy taking care of him. Even when he told them that he will be fine and asked them to get some rest, they still didn't listened to him.
So that's why he decided to drop this plan. But, his body had some other plans for him.
The next day he woke up to a splitting headache, sore throat and a fever.
"Oh God why" He groaned.
Hearing this, Jimin who was sleeping beside him in case Jin wanted something, woke up.
"Hy-hyung?" Jimin whispered.
Jimin quickly got into action upon seeing Jin's condition.
He came to the conclusion that his condition had worsened.
"Hyung just rest, I am coming in a minute." Jimin went to get the others and tell them about his condition.
Soon Jin's room was crowded by five worried faces.
"Hyung how are you feeling?" Jungkook asked with tears in his eyes.
"I- I am fine Ko-kook" Jin replied with a hoarse voice.
"No, you aren't." A teary Tae said.
"Hyung, drink this." said Yoongi who just entered the room with herbal tea.
After finishing the drink, Jin felt sleepy so he slept. All the members stayed in his room.
When Jin woke up, he noticed their doctor in the room talking with the members.
"Damn! I am this exhausted that I didn't even noticed that I was getting examined?" Jin thought.
After the doctor went back, the members finally noticed that Jin woke up.
"Oh hyung you woke up." Yoongi said, relief in his voice.
"Um yeah" Jin said with his hoarse voice.
"Doc said you have a fever and a bad cold." Namjoon said.
"You will have to rest completely for a week." Hoseok added.
"A- A WEEK!?" Jin weakly yelled.
Well sure he wanted to rest, but neither was he expecting a complete rest nor does he wanted it.
"Hmm yes for a week, now rest without any complaints." Jungkook said in a commanding voice.
Only if Jin had some energy left, then he would have hit Jungkook for commanding him...but he let it slide this time because of his health..
"Okay okay fine" Jin replied.
As the days passed, Jin's health improved. He was starting to get his energy back. The members were always by his side. They never left him, always taking care of him.
Jin felt so grateful for having his BTS family with him. Jin felt bad for lying to the members. But for now no one needs to know this right?
Maybe in the future he may confess this in one of RUN BTS episodes.
He definitely wasn't expecting things to turn like this....
But the company did granted them with one month holiday...
So he guess it was a victory...right??
