The tortoise and the hare (Leo x Yuichi)

Rescue mission final part

Leo pov:

I've never been so glad to Yui, I just knew he wouldn't forget about me! Oh wait, I think I'm expressing myself again. Eh, whatever, I don't mind.

Continuing, Fuwa had her ninjas coming at us, perfect time to fight, I've been meaning for some action for a bit... okay besides what happened

"Perfect time for us to see each other in real action" I commented

"Yeah!" Usagi agreed "Let's do this!" I shouted as I leaped in

"Ikuzo!" Yuichi also shouted before joining in.

The others shortly after joined in also and I'd like to add in that I noticed my brothers were somewhat enjoying the fight because I'm sure they were looking for some action also. 

Back on track Leon! I had my blade clashing with one ninja but quickly noticed two were coming my way, to try and get all three of them I applied force to one blade, sending a slight shove to the ninja before I ducked from the two coming. I landed a kick to the ninja on my right and sent the same amount of force to my blade to get the one on my left away. As I stood up, I hadn't noticed the ninja about to attack me from behind but thankfully, Yuichi was able to strike the ninja from behind. 

"Thanks, Usagi!" I thanked him 

"No problem!" he responded

I quickly threw my katana passed him, teleported behind, and attacked the ninja that was about to strike him.

"Just curious, how many of these ninjas does she have?" I asked though I was positive about the answer

"Quite a lot" called it "I'm wondering if we could just throw them off or something to get an upper hand on them"

"Unless you can get around them or sneak up on them, that's about all I could say"

"Wait...Ah! Leon, why haven't I been doing that?"

"What?"

"I could've been doing the whole teleporting thing and striking them from behind"

"Well, you aren't too late to do that"

And just like that, I started taking ninjas out left and right. Well, at least the ones around me and Usagi.

"That'll deal with them" I sighed

"Hopefully" Yuichi replied "Wait...where did Fuwa go?"

I didn't think about it until Yuichi had looked around to search for her. I looked around also and didn't see her either.

"Perhaps hiding?" I suggested

"I guess" Yuichi somewhat agreed "Come on, we can help the others out"

I know now is not the best time to daydream but you can not tell me he is just so cool! 

*ahem* Back on track, I went to help Don and Chizu while Yuichi gave his aid to Mikey and Kitsune.

"Glad to have you back with us, nardo" Donnie said

"I bet you missed me" I teased him

"Oh yeah, very much. Now duck" 

"Wait what?" I turned his way for a second only to quickly retreat my head into my shell before Donnie's staff struck my face. He was aiming for the ninja headed toward me.

"I told you to duck" Donnie said pulling his staff back

"Yeah" I pulled my head out "you did say that"

"Well" Chizu took out the last ninja "that's the last one over here"

"Well that should be about it then" Donnie added

"Wow, that was quick" I commented

"I'm pretty sure this was nothing to Gen and raph compared to us"

"Oh yeah, I bet this was easy and quick to them"

"Leo!" Mikey shouted "We're finished over here"

"Same here, Michael" Donnie responded

"Raph what about you?" I asked

"Ha! I didn't break a sweat! It was over before I knew it" Raph responded 

"Figure" 

"Now, where did Fuwa go?" chizu questioned 

"She couldn't be far" Donnie responded as he flipped his goggles over and started looking around. 

The amount of time he had looking for her, the rest of us were in a vigilant state. It's kinda like in horror films when the people are hiding from the monster or the killer and it's that silent moment where the killer or monster is close to finding you. It was something like that, nothing but that quiet moment spent trying to wait for her to attack or for him to find her.

"She's above us" Donnie whispered

Narrator pov:

And just like that, Fuwa came out of her hiding spot and attacked, going for Chizu first. She tried to claw at her face though Chizu dodged and was about to go in for an attack. However, Fuwa dodged the attack while drawing her katana in the process. Chizu leaped out of the way and brought out her bow, firing arrows toward Fuwa. 

"Woah, you guys have mystic weapons here?" Leo questioned 

"Not really. They're called kaikishi weapons, chosen weapons by the chosen ones of the ki stone" Yuichi explained 

"Do you have one?" 

"Yeah, it's a yo-yo though"

"Huh, interesting"

The blue duo, after concluding their short conversation, would go in to go at fuwa as well. Yuichi clashed his blade with Fuwa before she shifted back to dodge Leo's sneak attack. Gen attempted to attack from behind, once again fuwa dodged the attack and threw ninja stars in his direction but never hit him as Raph took cover as the stars either stuck onto his shell or reflected off of him. Kitsune and Mikey came in to tag team fuwa, as she dodges she was almost caught off guard when Donnie came in to strike with them. Chizu would take the moment and sweep her from the ground before having her pinned.

"You're defeated...again" Chizu said "You used up all of your tricks"

"Yeah, I would surrender fuwa" Yuichi added

Fuwa was silent but still showed an expression of defeat and somewhat disappointment. Chizu let go of her and stood up, brushing herself off before moving away from her. The group would proceed to make their way out of the area but they weren't aware of what was to happen. Leo was about to turn to Yuichi and walk out with him only to see Fuwa with her katana in hand and was about strike Yuichi from behind. 

A blue spark was seen, firing in Leo's eyes before he quickly went to stop her, drawing his katana and going to stop the blade from slashing Yuichi but something else happened. A portal finally formed behind Yuichi which Fuwa had gone into it. Yuichi turned to see the portal before it closed.

"Wow! You made a portal!" Yuichi said with excitement 

"Y-yeah! I did!" Leo opened the portal again, causing Fuwa to fall out and land on the ground. 

"Now, do you surrender?"

"Only this time, but next time I won't surrender" Fuwa growled before getting up. 

Her ninjas were also in the process of recovering also, retrieving their weapons and awaiting fuwa's orders.

"Ninjas, retreat" Fuwa ordered before dropping a smoke bomb and disappearing with her ninjas following afterward.

"Serves her right" Leo said

Yuichi ran up and squeezed Leo

"That...was...Awesome!! You really are so cool!" Yuichi complimented 

"Aw, Yuichi!" Leo placed his hand on Yuichi's head "You're too kind"
