"You guys are so fucking lucky!" I said as I swung the car door open. I lifted myself out of my corolla on weak legs. I closed the door before walking away before I continued. "If I hadn't taken that pilates class, I'd be back in the city and you guys would be shit out of luck" I quickly approached the door with my keys in hand. Mara had called me in a panic just twenty minutes earlier because she forgot to leave a key out for the guests that would be staying at her and David's place in Long Island for Labor Day weekend; she seemed to omit the fact that it was Noah's band I'd be opening the door for.I quickly jogged up the walkway to the front door. Noah was the first one I saw; without speaking he shot me a smile as I passed by him. I unlocked the door and let it swing open.
"You're awesome Violet" Folio said while he squeezed my shoulders when he passed me as he stepped into the house. "Thanks dude" Nick said as he followed closely behind Folio.
"It's no big deal" I said turning to face Noah who met me at the threshold of the door. "Stay with us." Noah said as he leaned on the door across from me.
"I can't do that." I said sheepishly letting my eyes drift down to our feet.
"Why not?" Noah stuck his foot out and nudged my toe with him causing me to look up to him. My eyes locked with his and for a moment I couldn't remember why I couldn't stay
"I'm supposed to head back to the city now." I said with a shrug off my shoulders.
"You don't want to hang out with us?" Folio asked coming back to us to the doorway. I saw Nick pass by the doorway, and I practically watched his ears perk up. "Come on Violet! Hang out with us!" I heard Nick call from inside the house. I shook my heard.
"What about Violet?" I heard what sounded to be Jolly from deeper in the house.
"She doesn't want to hang out with us" Folio called back looking at me with a devious smile. "Don't get them started" I warned him stepping back from the door I leaned against. I looked back to Noah and saw a smirk spreading across his face.
"I don't want to intrude on you're holiday weekend." I said backing up slowly. Noah reached out and caught my hand and pulled me back to him before I could get away. Noah pulled me into his chest and wrapped his other arm around me. My face in line with his chest; I could smell his cologne and if I was quiet enough I could probably hear his heartbeat. My thoughts began to race. I remembered him being shirtless and the tattoos on his chest I traced with my fingers delicately after he had taken me those nights not long ago. I wanted so badly to stay but I didn't want to intrude.
"Come on Violet! What do you have that is so important in the city anyway?" Folio questioned me raising an eyebrow. I shrugged my shoulders. "I can't crash you guys' break; you guys are touring I don't need to bother you guys." I went from my spot against Noah's chest
"Bring her in." I head Folio say, before I could register what he meant Noah had reached down and scooped me up; His arms under my thighs causing my legs to go around his waist. "Noah!" I protested. "No! you aren't going anywhere" Noah chuckled out as Folio followed behind us closely.
"Fine, fine, fine, But I need to leave in the morning." I said in defeat as Noah set me back on my feet in the living room keeping his hands on my waist.
"You guys she said she'd stay!" Folio announced raising my arm in victory. I let out a giggle as I heard the guys call out in excitement at the announcement. My eyes scanned the room. Jolly and Nick had set themselves on the large couches in the living room there others in the house looked to be the crew.
I did stay. Two hours and three drinks later I found myself in a bikini being chased in circles around the pool by Noah. "Come on Violet!, You know you want to! What's wrong with getting wet?" Noah taunted me as he slowed to a stop causing me to freeze and back up in the direction I had been running from.
