Being back in my apartment was a relief after three nights in the hospital. Being home didn't lessen the visits from everyone as I had hoped. Mara and David had backed off some, but Stella was making it her life's mission to never leave me alone. Jack had been trying to distract her and rein her in to give Noah and I some alone time.

"What do you think about spending some time with me in L.A.?" Noah asked as he lazily rubbed circles into my hip where we lay in bed facing each other.

"I thought that was the plan already?" I asked, searching his eyes for a sign I had been wrong.

"I know that's what we agreed on, but I was hoping to have you out there longer?" Noah slinked his arm around me pulling me in closer to him.

"How much longer are we talking?"

"The rest of the year." It was only October. Did he know that?

"You sure you're ready to spend that much time with me?' I asked quizzically.

"I'm sure I don't want to spend time without you." Noah leaned down as he spoke before pressing his lips to mine. I melted under him as he pushed into me. "What do you think?" Noah asked barely above a whisper when he pulled away from me.

"I think I don't want to spend time without you." I whispered back before leaning in to kiss him again.

"How do you think Stella will feel about this?" Noah asked, breaking our kiss again.

"She should be relived she gets a break from watching over me." My phone started ringing as Noah opened his mouth to speak. "Speak of the devil." I sighed before grabbing my phone to answer it. "What's up?"

"Hey, I'm stopping by soon, do you need anything?" Stella's voice crackled through the background noise of her environment.

"I'm good, thank you though." I said dropping my head back on the pillow below me.

"Are you sure?"

"I'm sure."

"I could bring you-"

"Stella, I'm okay." I cut her off.

"Okay I'll be there soon." I hung up the phone before she could change topics.

"It might be good for you to have a break; she probably needs the break as well." Noah said gently as he sensed the stress Stella caused me.

"You're right, it'll be refreshing to have a change of scenery. I haven't been anywhere but the city and Long Island in forever.

"You'll like it out there, it's a whole different world"

Typically I'd be opposed to spending so much time out of the city, but something about L.A. begged me to venture out of my norm. "When will we head out there?"

"You have a to get those stitches taken out first" Noah reminded me. "You have a follow up next week, they'll probably come out then. You can't have stitches in too long or the skin will grow over them."

"That's an awful thought." My face scrunched at the idea of my stitches going under my skin.

"We should probably get dressed; Stella will be here any minute now." Noah rolled away to stand up out of bed. I sat up slowly as Noah stepped into a pair of Bad Omens joggers. "See something you like?" Noah said with a smirk.

"You could say that." I stood up as Noah slipped a t-shirt over his head. I stood behind Noah and slipped my arms around him, resting my head against his back. Noah hand went over mine stopping for a moment before pulling himself free to turn around to face me. I stretched up onto my toes, Noah met me halfway leaning down to me to press our lips together. His hand held my hips as he pushed his tongue into my mouth.
