Sarai stepped into the spacious living room with a warm smile and waved her hand toward the camera, "Hey guys, I'm so happy to be here!" She greeted them, her eyes scanning the room.
As she entered the spacious living room, The plush green sofa, and the coffee table. However, the decor was spooky - a few paper ghosts hung from the ceiling, and there were splatters of what appeared to be blood on the walls. To top it off, a yellow tape with the words 'do not enter' hung on the maroon red door. The flickering white light added to the ominous ambiance of the room, making the group feel uneasy.
Twas the season of getting spooked and sweet treats on this certain night, The members of AMP were going into a haunted house on Halloween and Sarai was joining in with the content creators, She received a call from Duke.
He offered her the chance to join in and asked if she was comfortable with the idea. Without any hesitation, she gladly accepted the invitation and was overjoyed to become a part of the group's video.
Duke stood from the couch with a smile on his face as he saw Sarai come into the room, "Hey Duke, how are you?" she greeted him, she wrapped her arms around him as he did the same. "I'm good." he replied with a smile, showing off his glossy silver grills.
Each of the other members from AMP, Fanum, Agent, Chris, Davis and Kai stood from their chairs giving a welcoming embrace to Sarai as the group returned to their seats, "Are we going through this tunnel?" she inquired with a sheepish chuckle.
"Yeah we are, it's okay if you're scared." Kai replied reassuringly, playfully nudging her in the shoulder with his elbow.
Sarai smacked her lips in irritation with an eye roll, "I'm not scared Kai." She replied, shrugging her shoulders nonchalantly at him. She was a little scared but she didn't want to admit it especially since it was going to be on youtube.
"See? Sarai ain't scared of this shit but I bet you're scared Kai." Fanum joked, snickering with Agent and Chris.
"I ain't scared of shit, it's just a bunch of sound effects and people in costumes popping up from corners of the room Fanum." Kai shot back, folding his arms with his face twisting up towards Fanum.
"Let's just go through this fucking tunnel already."
She cautiously glanced down the cramped hallway, her gaze fell upon the fake spiderwebs and gruesome stains of crimson red blood that adorned the walls. The shrieks of fear that reverberated throughout the house emanated from tiny speakers perched in the upper corners of the room, sending chills down her spine.
Concern etched on Duke's face toward his friend as he told her, "You can hold my hand if you get scared, I'm right here." he replied reassuringly,
Sarai's hand grabbed onto his, she felt their fingers gently intertwining which sent shivers down her spine. She nervously nibbled on her bottom lip, but his thumb rubbing soothingly on her palm eased her worries.
Looking up at him, she smiled warmly and whispered, "Thank you, Duke." With a deep exhale, she felt a sense of relief wash over her.
However, Duke and Sarai just have feelings for each that they're oblivious to. As they continued through the haunted house, Duke couldn't help but notice how Sarai's hand fit perfectly in his.
He couldn't deny the feelings he had for her, but he didn't want to ruin their friendship by confessing. Sarai, on the other hand, was also feeling a strong connection to Duke, but she was too scared to admit it.
Sarai and Duke strolled into the tunnel and followed behind Davis, Chris with Agent alongside Kai and Fanum. The cold breeze brushed against their faces as the maniacal laughter filled the narrow hallways, their footsteps echoed through the hallways, Sarai couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement mixed with fear as she walked deeper into the haunted house.
Duke could feel Sarai's hand holding his tightly, which gave her a sense of comfort and safety. As they turned a corner, a masked figure jumped out from behind a door and screamed, causing Sarai to scream in terror. Duke quickly pulled her closer to him, shielding her from the scare.
A man dressed as a zombie with his hands out jumped from the corner of the room eliciting Fanum and Kai to scream in terror as their faces contorted in fear and backed up into a corner, "Oh shit!" Kai and Fanum hollered in fear,
Agent and Chris, Davis slowly walked through the tunnel as they flinched at the sight of a man dressed as a monster eating something with a piercing scream echoing through the room.
They continued to walk through the house, the scares became more intense, but Sarai felt more and more at ease with Duke by her side. She even found herself laughing at some of the more ridiculous jump scares. "I'm scared anymore."
The group neared the end of the house, Sarai felt a sense of accomplishment wash over her. She had faced her fears and made it through the haunted house with the help of her new friends.
Exiting the house, Sarai and the group were greeted with cheers and applause from the staff and other guests. Sarai couldn't help but feel proud of herself for facing her fears and having a great time with her new friends.
The group continued through the haunted house, encountering more frightful scenes and jump scares. Sarai's heart was racing, but she felt safe with Duke by her side. As they reached the end of the tunnel, the group let out a collective sigh of relief, relieved that the ordeal was over.
They stepped out into the open air, Duke turned to Sarai, his heart racing as he looked into her eyes. "Are you okay?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
Sarai smiled, feeling a rush of adrenaline coursing through her veins. "I'm okay," she said, her hand still tightly clasped in his.
Duke took a deep breath, summoning all his courage. "Sarai, there's something I need to tell you," he said, his voice shaking slightly.
Sarai looked up at him, her heart beating faster. "What is it?" she asked, her eyes searching his face.
Duke took a step closer to her, his eyes fixed on hers. "I like you," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.
Sarai's heart skipped a beat, her eyes widening in surprise. "Really?" she asked, her voice trembling slightly.
Duke nodded, his heart pounding in his chest. "Yeah, really. I've been trying to deny it, but I can't hold it in anymore."
Sarai felt tears welling up in her eyes, her heart overflowing with emotion. "Duke, I like you too," she said, her voice choked with emotion.
Duke felt his heart soar, a smile spreading across his face. "Really?" he asked, his eyes shining. Sarai nodded, her hand reaching up to touch his cheek. "Really," she said, her heart overflowing with joy.
The two of them leaned in, their lips pressed together in a soft, tender kiss. As they pulled away, they looked into each other's eyes, knowing that their love would only grow stronger from here on out.
As they walked back to their cars, Sarai felt grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this group and excited for what adventures they would have next.
