If i wasn't a coward
Maybe you would've stayed
But I was a coward
And you're goneI say your name more often than not
My friends roll their eyes
Because I'm supposed to get over itSome people don't understand
How girls miss girls too
A lot, too oftenYou were different
You loved the color black
You told me soLife was carefree for you
You showed me so
I was relaxed with you here tooI did more in our time
Than i ever did for my friends
I helped you
Even though im reserved with most
I didn't even hesitateI was just a friend to you
But its okay
I realised you liked my shoulder for support
And that was enough for meI forgot you weren't forever
And three years later
I still have your name
Warm in my lips wherever i go
Whoever i meetBut your now past
The one who got away
