If i wasn't a coward
Maybe you would've stayed
But I was a coward
And you're gone

I say your name more often than not
My friends roll their eyes
Because I'm supposed to get over it

Some people don't understand
How girls miss girls too
A lot, too often

You were different
You loved the color black
You told me so

Life was carefree for you
You showed me so
I was relaxed with you here too

I did more in our time
Than i ever did for my friends
I helped you
Even though im reserved with most
I didn't even hesitate

I was just a friend to you
But its okay
I realised you liked my shoulder for support
And that was enough for me

I forgot you weren't forever
And three years later
I still have your name
Warm in my lips wherever i go
Whoever i meet

But your now past
The one who got away
