The ride was okay for Taehyun.

They just kept playing random songs and just chatted about what they will do for almost a week.

"We're here guys!." Yeonjun said as Beomgyu parked the car.

"Woah it's a big house hyung! This house all to ourselves?" Kai asked opening the trunk of the car to take their bags.

"Yup. All to ourselves. So I want all of you to have fun okay?"
Yeonjun spoke, mainly targeting the last sentence to Kai and Taehyun.

The beach was a little farther away from them. The sun shone brightly while the sea breeze shifted.

Yeonjun opened the door of the house and everyone went in.
The inside of the house wasn't the extravagant decor you'd see on tv. It was minimalistic yet modern.

"There are three rooms upstairs. I'm taking the single bedroom You guys have to share a room.
Yeonjun said pointing at them.

"Alright. I and Soobin will share a room~" Beomgyu teased, smiling sheepishly.

"That's Hyung for you. And fine."
Soobin rolled his eyes.

Taehyun stared at yeonjun with a look of 'cry for help'.

Yeonjun just shrugged at him.

They all went to their respective rooms.

Taehyun went in and Kai followed him.

Taehyun stared at the bed in front of him with wide eyes.

"I can sleep on the floor if you want. I don't mind." Kai started.

He looked at Kai for a second. "No it's fine ill sleep on the floor-"

"Why do you hate me?"

Taehyun's eyes widened.

"I-i done-"

"Of course you do. You ghost all of the texts I sent you. You don't talk to me. You don't look at me. What did I do Taehyun? Aren't we friends? You're supposed to tell me what's the problem But you just-. it hurts okay! It hurts."

Kai blurted stepping closer to him.

Taehyun's mouth went agape. He could feel his eyes getting watered up, his throat burning.

Kai opened his arms and embraced Taehyun.

"I-I'm sorry!" Taehyun cried gripping Kai's T-shirt.

"Look whatever it may be. Don't ignore me. Please. You can hate me. But I-i just.. Can't be happy without seeing you. It's okay if you don't want to talk about whatever you're going through."

Each word Kai spoke gave a heartache to Taehyun.

He held Taehyun's shoulder to make him look at him.
"I'm sorry. Forgive me?"
Taehyun asked, his voice still raspy from the crying.

"It's fine. I understand. Just don't do that again-"

"I won't! I won't." Taehyun rushed.

"Okay now stop crying. Let's go- they must be waiting for us"
Kai giggled and said.

Taehyun wordlessly nodded.

Kai always surprised Taehyun.
How could he easily forget everything and act as if nothing bad happened? How could he just? Be so kind. Why did Kai have to be so caring? Why did Kai have to make him fall for him repeatedly?

What did Kai think of Taehyun?

Insecurity was eating Taehyun's insides.

"Taehyun! You okay?"
Kai asked shaking him a little which brought back his senses

"Hm? Yea I'm fine. Let's go.." Taehyun confirmed.

Kai raised his eyebrow, confused.
Before Kai could ask anything Taehyun was already out of the room.

'This is gonna be a long week'
Kai sighed to himself.
