Third pov

"Good morning, my baby!", Terri said as soon as she saw her only daughter enter the kitchen, fully dressed and ready to go out. Today Billie's yearly interview with Vanity Fair would be released, and because she had asked Ezra to be there, the blonde had to rearrange her schedule so she would have the whole afternoon and evening free. Which meant that, she had to get up super early! Yesterday, Ezra and her friends finished watching the Scream saga, and because she had to get up early, she only got around four hours of sleep...and, because it was really late and everyone was kind of tired, they ended up sleeping over. Mina and Yuna slept in Ezra's bed, like so many times before, and the boys ended up splitting the guest room and the sofa.

"Where are you off this early?", Robert asked, getting the sleepy girl out of her thoughts, while handing her a mug full of coffee, just like she was in much need of.

"I have a private class in an hour, and them group classes at the studio!", the girl mumbled back.

"It's still 7am! You're on break, Ezra. You could have tried to, I don't know, change it to the afternoon!", Robert exclaimed, clearly confused with the early schedule.

"I know, dad! But I'm meeting Billie later, and I didn't want to cancel the classes!", as soon as those words left Ezra's mouth, Robert's expression changed completely. A bright, almost comical look appears on his face, leaving the worried mask he had before fall.

"Oh, I get it now!", he muttered jokingly, "Billie.".

Not wanting to hear whatever he would say next, Ezra finishes her coffee, grabs her keys and the bag where she kept some extra shoes and clothes, and somewhat shouts out a goodbye.

Closing the door behind her, she makes her way towards the car, double checking that she had everything she could possibly need, not wanting to have to turn back on the way to the studio.

Because it was so early, the traffic would be terrific, so once she had the chance, she turned towards Interstate 5. In the dancer's mind, the traffic would be more fluid there. The radio was on, and her rolled down window gave her some fresh air. Honestly, she wasn't that tired, but not having a good night of sleep, definitely made her a little groggy.

The sun had just started to rise, and the sky was a beautiful orange-pink hue. She was feeling nervous but excited about seeing Billie later. What she was more interested about however, was why Billie wanted her to watch the interview with her.

She was singing along to the song playing on the radio – Oh La by The Kooks - feeling her body begging to move along to the beat. Dance had always been a part of Ezra's life! From a very young age, she would dance around the house to the beat of the 90's songs her mother would put on. Terri always told her that she could dance even before she could walk. And she wasn't lying. Even as a baby, Ezra would squirm around her bassinet, when her dad sang to her, terribly by the way – that man couldn't sing to save his life, honestly.

As she merged onto the highway, a car suddenly swerved into her lane, causing her to lose control of her vehicle. Feeling the wheel slipping out of her grasp, Ezra tried with all her might to grab it once more, but to no avail. She felt completely frozen, in that moment in time. The car spun out of control, onto upcoming traffic, subsequently hitting the median and ricocheting back into the lanes, flipping over several times before coming to a full stop.

All Ezra could feel was intense pain, her body aching all over. She tried to move, but every time she did, she felt a sharp pain shooting through her body. She looked around, disoriented, and saw that, not only was her car badly damaged, but she was hanging upside down, only secured by the seatbelt. The airbags had deployed, and the car's windshield was completely shattered. Her head was spinning, and at first, she wondered it was from the commotion, but as soon as she realised the position she was in and the damage she could see all around her, she knew that it was from hitting it so many times, and from the airbag that exploded in her face. Before she could even process what was going on and how she got there, a truck going too fast to break on time, hits her car heads on, making the already beat up girl, pass out.
