The day of the match finally arrived and the two girls couldn't help but feel excited. Well, obviously since it's their first football match ever and it's a big one as well.
15 minutes before the start, the players were warming up on the field and the two girls sat down in their jersey front row.
"Who do you think is gonna win?" Kendall asked Mia, who sat next to her and tapped her fingers against her thighs, confidently answered, "Obviously Madrid!"
Kendall let out a hum and continued watching the players warm up. She recognized a few, but not as much because she isn't the biggest fan of the club even though her best friend is. The players started to go into the tunnel to change since the game would be starting in a few minutes. Meanwhile, the girls took pictures in front of the field to post them later on their social media.
As they sat down, the two teams lined up in the tunnel while holding the children's hands and then started to walk towards and on the field. While the players got introduced, Mia happily chanted with the crowd while Kendall, excitingly just watched her best friend and took videos.
Kendall quickly sat down because the players were already done greeting each other and now are spread around the green field in blue-red and white. After the whistle blew, the players immediately started kicking the ball one to another.
Mia nervously watched the game and commented throughout the match. Suddenly, the crowd got louder as Benzema got the ball and shot it into the opposite net. Mia got up and screamed while Kendall cheered as well and vibed with everyone else.
"About time", Mia sighed and they down as everything calmed down. The game was intense after Barcelona scored in the 83rd minute and made it 2-1 for Madrid. Luckily, there was a foul and got Madrid a pen in the 91st minute for Rodrygo. Mia was on edge the whole time and when Rodrygo shot it into the net the crowd went wild and they both cheered.
What they didn't see was a football being shot right across the field in their direction and the ball hit the brunette right in the face. The ball fell to the ground after it hit her and she noticed blood leaking through her nose, as she held it.
"Oh fuck, everything alright?" Mia immediately asked her friend and gave her some tissues from her purse. When she started cleaning her nose, she saw people looking at her from their section,
"Oh, my god." Kendall looked at Mia and followed her eyes to the field. Two Madrid players came their way and the fans got louder. At first, the two friends thought they would hype up the crowd, but Kendall forgot she got hit in the face and it was probably because of one of them.
"Está Bien?" (You okay?) She recognized the number 20 from Madrid, Vini Jr, asking her as he stood behind the fence right in front of her. Kendall couldn't do anything besides slowly nod and reply a quiet ʼsíʼ due to shock. The young star boy smiled and took off his shirt and gave it to her. She had to admit that he was fit.
"Am I supposed to say thank you?" She playfully asked and looked up at him. The dark-skinned boy laughed again and simply shrugged his shoulders,
"Take it as a sorry, Linda." And with that, he was on the field again and into the tunnel where he met up with his teammates. Kendall did not know what the last word meant but she also knew it was something positive.
Mia, who sits beside her, took her chance and found her attention on number 12, the young midfielder. Even though Kendall was too occupied with the conversation of her hitman, she knew that Mia definitely had a not-so-innocent conversation with the rising midfielder.
