Each following day, the pavement seemed to be changing, but it would never alter when Genji was walking on it. There weren't leaves on the grey ground yesterday like there are now & drawings made with crayons seemed fresh, most likely drawn this morning.

Perhaps it was only her attention that didn't care for what she felt wasn't important at that moment. However, while walking back to the agency with her messenger back a lot heavier than before, Genji could finally rest her strained eyes. She looked down at the pavement & took out the list of errands from her pocket. Genji mentally checked off the last task, which was to receive a package for the President. Genji folded the paper & stuffed it into her pocket again.

Genji then felt her phone buzz. She took it out & flipped open the screen, seeing a message from Y—

- Gen-chan!

Genji's hands jerked from surprise & the phone fell out from her palm. But the device didn't hit the ground. The girl looked up.

- My, my, Gen'chan. You should be more careful, you know?

- Maybe you shouldn't yell my name in the middle of the street... - Genji replied with an awkward smile, feeling other passersby stare at her & Dazai. She took her phone from his hand.

- Would you prefer if I yelled your name somewhere more private then?

- What?

Dazai clapped & stood beside the girl:
- So, did you get what I needed? I made sure to decorate my part with little stars and hearts.

Genji looked back up at Dazai & her eyebrows furrowed, shock forming on her face.

- You wrote three bottles of wine?!

Dazai laughed & weaved with his hand.

- It wasn't just me, silly, it was Yosano-san as well! - Dazai replied with a smile as he gave Genji a thumbs up.

Genji sighed & looked up at the sky, squinting as the sun peeked out from the clouds & blinded her for a moment. Why did she even choose this company? It's not like her ability brought them any unforeseen profit. Ah, right.

Genji looked down & the sides of her hair that she let loose from her hair tie dropped to her temples. The bleached streaks had faded into a dark brown after a few months of Genji doing her hair.

She looked up & glanced at Dazai before looking away again. Her eyes pondered back to him, though they drifted away once more. Genji's feet began moving slower & she gazed at the cosmetics store they just passed.

- Gen-chan?

Money.

Genji's head snapped back to Dazai while he looked at her with a curious expression.

- Something wrong? Did you forget something?

Genji shook her head:
- No, it's nothing. - she quickly jogged back to Dazai.

Dazai shrugged & they continued their slow walk back to the agency. However, Genji still kept glancing back to the beauty store. Noticing this, Dazai also turned around but only looked at Genji, who would promptly looked ahead of her again after a few seconds of staring at the sore. Dazai looked at the pavement & he noticed Genji eye him with an earnest gaze.

She quickly looked away once she noticed Dazai looking back at her.

- Oh, Gen-chan, don't hide any secrets from me, dear.

Genji pressed her lips into a thin line & her fingers slightly tugged at the strap of her bag:
- ...Dazai-san. - she uttered in an awfully quiet tone.
