tw: one mention of rape (not Vickie)

Vickie's day had been good so far. The bus she usually takes to work had actually been on time and wasn't even that crowded, which she was thankful for. And while the team did not have any cases, she spend lots of times filing and scheduling for her boss.

But then, House overheard a conversation about sick babies and suddenly Vickie was running all around the maternity ward with him.

The two exited the second to last maternity room, heads bent together as they were conversing when a female voice suddenly rang out, "Vee?"

Vickie's head shot up, eyes wide with bewilderment. She looked around and found a familiar blonde staring at her with her mouth open.

"Oh, my God. Helene?"

Said woman, Helene, squealed and nodded her head. She ran over to Vickie and House watched in slight shock as the two women flew into each others open arms, squealing in excitement all the while.

The diagnostician winced and shouted over their noise and said, "Only dogs can hear you now!"

He went ignored as the two parted and Vickie said, "What are you doing here?"

"My sister had a baby," Replied Helene and motioned to one of the maternity rooms. "So I'm here to see the little bugger."

Vickie laughed and held a hand to her mouth in amazement, "Wow, that's so amazing. I'm glad she was finally able to conceive. Did everything go okay?"

Helene nodded, "Yeah, yeah. Everything went great. Anne's okay. A little sore, but y'know she just pushed out a person so..." the two laughed for a moment, then she asked, "What're you doing here anyway?"

"Oh," breathed Vickie, suddenly going a bit shy. "I work here, actually."

"Really? How cool! I didn't know you became a doctor."

"She didn't," said House as he joined in with the conversation. Helene turned her head to look at him and she watched him limp over, cane thumping against the hospital floor. "Or isn't, I get confused on tenses sometimes. Vickie here is just an assistant."

Said woman gritted her teeth and shot her boss a look. Still, she just let out a laugh and tried to take control of the conversation again, "Yeah, something like that. Hey, we should catch up later. Your number still the same?"

Helene nodded, "Yeah. You'll text me?"

"Of course."

The blonde smiled and wrapped her fingers just below Vickie's right elbow. "Good," she said with a smile that piqued House' interest. He watched as Helene let her fingers drag down Vickie's arm while she retreated back to her sister's hospital room. "Bye for now." Said Helene.

Vickie waved at her as she disappeared into her sisters room. Then the assistant turned to leave, a reminiscent smile on her lips.

House walked after her, his cane thumping a familiar rhythm on the floor. "You've had sex."

"Well, yes," said Vickie. "Ever since I was seventeen, actually."

The two stepped into the elevator, Vickie pressing the button for the diagnostics floor. House stood next to her as they waited. "You've had sex with Helene, too. Funny, I didn't know you went for the blonde primma donnas."

As the doors opened, Vickie exited and turned around to walk backwards so she could face House. She said, "Oh, no actually. My type's all about the grumbled meds addicts who walks with a cane- oh, wait!"
