TODAY WAS NO DIFFERENT FROM the day prior, katsuki stayed in thought about the girl at the cafe, so deep in thought that he had failed to notice that everyone else had picked up on this strange behavior.
"uh young bakugou..?" all-might had called out to the blonde boy, like he had been doing for the last five or so minutes
"bro, what's wrong with you today?" kirishima asked, nudging the boy to get his attention
"the fuck do you want hair-for-brains?!" bakugou exclaimed, making poor kirishima yelp out nervously. All might, who was warily watching this encounter, let out an exasperated sigh
"katty" mina said as she walked up to the blonde, a knowing look in her eyes and a shit eating grin tracing her face
"what pinky?" the boy replied, sublty glaring at her
"yanno, you need to stop thinking about y/n it's unhealthy for you and it's creeping everyone out" the pink girl said in a matter-of-fact tone
"who's y/n..?" izuku unknowingly asked, earning a harsh glare from bakugou
The poor green haired boy looked like his soul had left his body and he let out a subtle, yet not so subtle squeak of fear

Meanwhile, at the cafe your friends were asking you about bakugou because yesterday hana had blabbed about the boy who was trying to get your number to the group chat and now they had all suddenly become invested in your love life that was practically non-existent.
"now, (your nickname) don't be alarmed but the boy hana told us about walked in with a girl so be cool" your other friend— yua mumbled, as she poked your shoulder
You looked up at her with a confused expression and then you turned around and as yua said, there he was, in all of his glory
"you're back, lovely, what can i get you?" you asked, going to stand behind a cash register thingy
"same as yesterday please!" the pink haired girl exclaimed, as she walked away, most likely to go and find a table for the two of them
You nodded as you rung up there order, once you finished, you looked to the blonde boy and hummed, handing him the same sweet treat you gave him yesterday
"so, are you and her dating?" you asked him, and he smirked
"why, you jealous?" he asked in reply, making you scoff and shake your head
"no, just curious" you said and he nodded
You quickly finished making their coffee, and you gave it to him. He thanked you and then he made his way over to the table mina was seated at

A few hours later, it was nearly time to lock up, and tonight was your night. The café was quiet, seeing as there was about 5 or so people left in it, one of the people being katsuki bakugou.
Mina had left earlier claiming that her mom was starting to get worried and then she left— not before whispering something in his ear, which you found weird
Later, it was just the two of you left in the café and then, he approached you
"i noticed the time" he said, leaning against the counter
You looked at the boy and hummed, mumbling a "yeah i did too, it's late" and he sighed
"yeah it's late, and it's dark and i dont see a car or an Uber outside, so I assume you're walking" he replied smoothly
"yes, you assumed correctly, I'm walking" you said, walking out from behind the counter. He followed you as you walked to the door
"so let me walk you home, it's the least i could do— and quite frankly it's the least you could do, seeing as you won't give me your number" he replied, almost in a sassy manner
You laughed and looked at the boy who's face remained neutral, but his eyes said everything
"katsuki bakugou, you're one persistent boy"

The walk from the café to your house was about 20 minutes long. It was 20 minutes of the blonde boy talking about school and hero training and him wanting to be the number one hero.
You liked hearing him talk, especially about the career he so desperately wanted, there was a sparkle in his eyes whenever he spoke about U.A. not that you stared into his eyes or anything
"well this is it" you mumbled when the both of you stopped outside a peach-ish coloured house
"well, goodnight then and thank you for letting me walk you home" he mumbled, smirking slightly when you smiled at him
"goodnight bakugou, get home safe" you mumbled, going inside and locking the foot behind you

And he did, that night when he got home, he was immediately greeted with a hit to the head and concerned shout of mitsuki bakugou. Though, he ignored her as he went straight up to his room.
It was then and there when mitsuki realized there was someone special in her son's life, but she knew not to pry, so she'll watch from the sidelines

smh i removed the "nerd" joke seeing as ppl got offended by it. say nothing abt the way he said thank you, i like writing bakugou ooc
