"Fuck y'all want me to do? I'm not into that killing kid shit," Jeremiah furrowed his eyebrows, "and I'm def not a felon. Kay, shordy not into you no more. You just fucked up for hurting her like that—you wonder why she wit her ex again. Bro cares about her."
"So, you telling me that I didn't care?" Kevin would furrow his eyebrows also. The two sat on the stoop of the BnB, enjoying the warmth of June. The two had been catching up with lost time but the moment Kevin brought up his plan, Jeremiah was stuck. Confused as to why he was so interested in murdering a child.
"Ask ya self why she fuckin her ex again. Think about why she duckin you. It's 'cus you was tweakin out on her for who the fuck knows what. Shordy was breaking her fingers for you." Jeremiah took a hit from his blunt. "Not sure if you genuinely cared about her at one point, but if you did, you wouldn't be worried about killing another nigga for her."
There was a silence between the two. That question made Kevin think for a moment. Jeremiah was right about pretty much everything he said. He did have time to stop what he was doing and just live the rest of his life on the run until he was caught. But something else was telling him keep going through with it.
"I get it nigga, ion need a fuckin lecture." Kevin remarked. Jeremiah was usually the most reasonable one and was insightful. He stayed out of trouble and wasn't interested in being locked up like his friends were. The male was quite happy to hear that Kevin was released from prison but was even more shocked to hear the news about him escaping.
"You can say that all day, but if you go out and actually kill her mans, I'm not fuckin wit you no more. That shit weird." The male would stand up, adjusting the beanie on his head. "I'm tryna help you. If you gone be on the run, you don't need to commit no typa crimes. You gone get caught up again."
Jeremiah used two fingers to mash Kevin on the side of his head before walking down the stoop and headed over to his car. He looked back at Kevin.
"Think about what we talked about." His voice echoed from across the street before he'd get in and drive off. Kevin watched as the car disappeared off into the distance before Nasir would come out.
"You not gone listen to him, are you?"
"What does it look like? I ain't stopping after we just started this shit up. Might as well finish it and go back to prison." Kevin answered.
"Prison? Hell nah nigga, I'm not going back there. Rikers Island is dead torture. I don't wanna be in there—we just gone have to hide out. Once we done and everything is out the way, we just say fuck New York and leave."
Nasir sat down beside Kevin.
"And we don't need the extra help if nobody gone be down for the cause. We started this shit together, we can finish together." Nas added. Kevin nodded and stood up from the stoop.
"So, what's the plan now?"
"We creep up." Nasir answered. Then he paused, seemingly thinking of something else. "Fuck it, let's do a drive by."
"A drive by where? Nigga are you even thinking?"
"I'm thinking—and I say we do a drive by at another function. It's coming up soon, so we got the time. What? You wanna do this by yourself and get caught?"
"Okay nigga, we doing a drive by."
"Bet. Grab the knocks and we gone be out." Nasir stood up also and made his way back into the house, grabbing their weapons as planned.

Alarms blared loudly throughout the prison house in the early hours of morning. Guards rushed through the building, searching the inmates cells, waking those who slept peacefully. The cells that contained Kevin and Nasir were empty, yet they were spotless as if no one inhabited them. While the other prisoners were being questioned, Keem would watch quietly from his cell. He knew he had more than one reason to hate Kevin. When it was time for him to be questioned, his cell door would open and he'd step out. He glanced out the window, watching how the two ran through the lot.
"Them niggas gone get caught out there." Keem thought to himself. His eyes panned back to the officer who would ask him if he'd seen the two inmates that escaped. He shook his head and went back into his cell.
If it was that easy for Kevin and Nas to escape, he could do it too. When it was the perfect time, he would make his way out of his cell and climbed out of a window, similar to the one Kevin and Nasir escaped out of. Keem followed their path and successfully made it to the bridge that lead into Queens with the intention to find Kevin and kill him.
"Where the fuck they going to?" Quan asked, glancing at Keem as he kicked the dust under his feet. Keem just shrugged.
"Ion care, let's just get the fuck on before we get caught up." Keem answered rudely. The two walked for what felt like hours across the bridge until they had made it to Queens.

"Show her you care, huh?" Nasir lifted an eyebrow at Kevin. "It's too late for all that. Like Setty said, you just missed out. Shit, does it matter? Force ain't always the right answer. Especially when it comes to a female."
Kevin's shoulders lowered and he would stare at Nasir as if he were an idiot.
"The fuck are we doing then? Playing tag wit a eighteen year old? We just chasing bro around New York wit a gun for the fun of it?" Kevin snapped.
"Yes!" Nasir beamed sarcastically. Kevin scoffed and slouched back against the seat of the car and took a hit from his blunt, rolling down the window before he could release the smoke from his lips.
"Where this function gone be at?"
"Shit say it's happening in Boston, so we gone have to travel again. We should be fine out there. We ain't gone have to lay that low but we still gotta be careful. Shit get dangerous." Nasir explained.
"Yeah, but who gone take us out there? We can't just rent a fuckin' car like we officially free. Niggas probably gone rat on us and we gone be locked all over again. Then we gone have to repeat the process all over again." Kevin ranted.
"I'd rather them OY niggas kill me before I get caught 'cus of a rat." Nasir furrowed his eyebrows, sneering at the idea. "We ain't got shit to worry about right now, so just chill. We gone figure it out when it's time."
