She looked up to find you surrounded by three holographic screens. One reviewing footage, the other two with intel, and the other showed V.A.L. You took off your sunglasses, prompting the holograms to disappear as you looked at her
Y/N: Yes?
N. Nurse: This way
You stood up and followed her like you've done a few times, down the metallic corridors, of a facility that had no windows, for the sake of secrecy
The Night Nurse was a prominent ally to the superhero community, providing medical aid without exposing their identity to the public, but keeping her identity under tight wraps
Before moving to Krakoa, you worked for her, you even improved the electricity in her clinic. This scored you some points with her

She's a general practitioner, but you never knew where the name "Night Nurse" came from
She led you to one of the rooms, where Kate lied in bed, unconscious, bandaged up, and with a splint on her nose
The sight alone was powerful enough to strike your heart. With softness in your voice, you glanced at the woman
Y/N: How is she?
N. Nurse: You did well in bringing her right away. I managed to stop the bleeding, and the broken nose shouldn't be an issue anymore
You approached your girlfriend as the nurse continued, getting a closer look at her wounds
N. Nurse: Right now, the best is to let her rest. The muscle relaxers will be in effect for two more hours
She then showed you the clipboard with the list, and you took a picture of it with your sunglasses
N. Nurse: Here are some painkillers that might help her later. She might not be dying, but she'll be sore for a while
Y/N: I'll be sure to get these for her. Thank you
Then, you glanced back at Kate with a more serious gaze this time. The Nurse picked up on this and couldn't help but sigh
She had seen the same eyes in patients time and time again
N. Nurse: You're going out there again
Y/N: I have to
Gently, you caressed the side of her face before you looked at the Night Nurse
Y/N: Do you think you can keep an eye out for her while I'm gone?
The woman looked at her patient and then at you, she shrugged
