Chapter 4: Breakfast part 2 and letters

Luigi froze in fear. "He was feeding Junior." Ludwig said calmly. "Is this true Junior?" Bowser asked. "Y-Yes. D-Don't hurt him." Junior mumbled with tears in his eyes that threatened to fall. "Oh Junior I won't. But how do you know that he isn't trying to hurt  you or poison you?" "Oh he already tried it and he hasn't ran away when he could have!" Junior said happily. "Hm. Very well then. Luigi, can you make more for the rest of the koopalings." "Y-Yes." Luigi mumbled as he worked on making more batter. 15 minutes later he had made enough food for everyone. All the koopalings sat down and ate, marvelling at the exquisite taste of the food. Even Bowser ate some and he tried to hide how much he liked it, which he failed to do. After everyone ate, they thanked Luigi and ran off to their room. Bowser and Luigi were the last to leave, and as Luigi was about to leave, he was stopped by Bowser.

"H-Hey thank you for breakfast." Bowser mumbled. "Oh it was no problem! Let me know if you need me to cook anything else!" Luigi said with a smile. Bowser was shocked by this, he expected Luigi to fight and try to escape since he kidnapped him, but instead he was offering to make food and wasn't trying to escape or causing problems. Bowser watched as Luigi left, then he himself walked to his office. When he got to his office, he took out a piece of paper and began to write a letter to Peach.

Meanwhile, Peach and Mario were formulating a plan to rescue Luigi. "What if we snuck in and knocked Bowser out?" Mario suggested. "No, he'll be expecting that" Peach said. "What if we-" Mario stopped talking when he saw a mail toad walk in carrying a letter. The toad walked up to Peach and handed the letter to her with a bow. "Princess, I do believe this letter is of importance. You see, a shy guy directly walked up to the toad working at sorting the mail and said it was highly important that this get to the princess with much haste." "Hm. Thank you" Peach said with a confused expression on her face. The mail toad walked out of the room with another bow. "What does it say?" Mario inquired curiously. "Well we're going to find out." Peach said. She slit the letter seal and took out the letter from the envelope. She cleared her throat as she began to read the letter.

"Dear Mushroom Kingdom, as you know, I have Luigi. If you would like to see him again, Peach will have to hand herself over to me. You have one day to respond, otherwise it's lights out for 'stache. Sincerely, Bowser."

Peach finished reading the letter with disgust in her voice. No one said anything for a while, they were torn. On one hand, they wanted their princess, but on the other they wanted their savior. "THE NERVE OF HIM!" Mario shouted, finally breaking the silence as he stormed out of the room. "Mario wait!" Peach said, but he was already gone. She would have to figure something out and quick. She let out a long sigh, and walked to her room, knowing what she would have to do.
