Present Day

It's been two weeks since the last coupling with Arthit and he hasn't called Kongpob to come to him. He's managed to attend his business trip away from home successfully and his wife is happy that he's making it back in time for dinner more regularly.

It's a good thing that whatever had caused the hiccup in his and Arthit's scheduled fucks is over.

Knott has sent him a curt message to let him know that Arthit has seen Nurse Lek and that the man thinks he's going to be fine. He'd also informed him that he was going back to Malaysia and that Prem and Bright and Tootah would be checking in on Arthit for a bit while he's gone.

Kongpob scowls when he sees that Prem is on the list. He's a constant reminder of everything bad that has happened in his life and he wishes that Arthit would listen to him and consider ending that friendship.

But he's stubborn. More so now than he was two years ago, but still.. he won't give Prem up.

He's been the cause of more fights between them than Kongpob's legal wife, Jane. Prem's presence has caused more upset for Kongpob than anything else - except Arthit's overall condition of course.

He's desperate to forget Prem's involvement in their relationship, but Arthit refuses. He still says he was right to try out his theory even though it's been the catalyst for so many bad things between him and Kongpob.

Still, Arthit has ownership over who he sees and Kongpob has none. So he must endure it, even if it makes him sick.

Two Years Ago

"You have to admit, it's getting worse, P'Arthit." Arthit is packing Kong's bag for his business trip, the one his father insists he cannot miss, but everytime he adds an item, Kongpob takes it back out.

His efforts to unpack are not going unnoticed, more that Arthit is refusing to acknowledge them and refusing to have the conversation with him.

"Please talk to me, P'Arthit. I cannot leave you here alone when you're so weak. I don't want to, it's unconscionable of me to go."

"Kongpob! Please! You know what your father said. He already hates that we're 'married', he won't accept our relationship getting in the way of your work. You know I'm right, so stop making things so difficult for me."

It's rare that Arthit gets so upset and Kongpob can see that he's at breaking point. So he accepts that he has to listen to his partner, and helps to pack his bag.

But he insists that Arthit has Knott around while he's gone.

Two Years Ago

When he returns two day later, it's to the smell of Arthit's favourite noodles cooking in the kitchen and a sparkling house without a sniff of dust. He's surprised that Arthit would go to such an effort, especially when he's still working full time and it's normally Kongpob's job to clean up (which he rather enjoys).

But when he trudges into their bedroom to drop off his things, he finds a sight that makes his heart clench tightly.

"Arthit!"

He dashes to the bedside, to find his lover half naked, red scratch marks on his own chest. His eyes are closed tightly and Prem is seated beside him, clutching his hand.
