Jane's trial is fast tracked at Kongpob's father's request. Being an important man in the business world, he manages to have her in front of a judge and jury within a month of her arrest.

While they wait for the day to arrive, Kongpob and Arthit, with the help of Knott and Kerkkrai, manage to make an incredible amount of progress in their quest to vanquish the curse.

Firstly, they travel to the site of their wedding ceremony, visiting the temple there and paying their respects, having their wedding bands blessed in the holy place.

At the same time, Kongpob sends his and Jane's rings to a jeweller to be melted down and turned into an amulet which Arthit wears on a cord around his neck, dangling over his heart at all times.

It's a show that Kongpob has denounced Jane and chosen Arthit and it is already beginning to help their plan to progress.

"I can feel it, Kong," Arthit says on the third day, snuggling into Kongpob's arms on the couch in the new apartment that they have rented and furnished to be their new home.

It is free from any bad blood between them, free of thoughts and memories of the dreaded curse, and of course, free of Jane and her twisted mind.

Kongpob refuses to let his mother over the threshold, even though she has begged him to be allowed in several times.

But he won't allow her, aware that she is part of the damage done to his and Arthit's relationship, even if she cannot see it that way.

"The amulet's working?" Kong asks, pulling Arthit closer, pressing kisses to his hair and forehead.

"There's a tingling here," Arthit says, pressing a hand over his heart, then tugging Kongpob's fingers to link with his own against his skin.

"It feels warm and soft," Kong says, lifting their hands to kiss Arthit's gently.

"It's because of the words you said, Kong, I'm certain. The metal remembers. It knows that you meant those words, that you love me, not her. That I'm your destined soulmate forever."

Arthit tilts his chin and Kongpob's lips settle against his, suckling on his lower lip with passion.

"I love you only you, P'Arthit, always." He whispers and Arthit shivers against him.

"I love only you, Kongpob." Arthit agrees and deepens the kiss, their tongues tangling together.

It's starting to get heated, Arthit seated in Kongpob's lap, a gentle grind starting to get them both hard, when the door slips open and Knott appears.

"My eyes!" He exclaims, laughter in his voice as he joins them in the living room, plopping down into their matching chair. "Boys, seriously!"

"Boys?" Arthit asks, slipping off Kongpob's lap and trying to discreetly adjust his trousers. "I'm pretty certain that I'm two months older than you, Knott!"

Kongpob laughs as he also shuffles uncomfortably on the couch, "Okay, no arguing guys, you're both older than me.." he turns to face Knott, "Do you have news?"

Knott grins, "I do. Here," then he passes over a file which Kongpob bends his head over, devouring the words in black and white.

"It's over?" Arthit asks, and Knott nods his head firmly.

"She signed the divorce papers and the judge agreed it's in your best interests to move things forward quickly."

Arthit's shoulders start to heave as tears trickle down his cheeks. Kongpob scoops him into his arms, pressing Arthit's face against his chest, holding him tightly and whispering nonsense.
