Love Through Time (Five x Reader)

Chapter Twenty-One

About 20 minutes later, I was in a car with Five, Allison, and Diego. Klaus had opted to stay, and Luther was insistent that the end of the world had something to do with Dad sending him to the moon. Allison was driving, I was sitting next to Five in the back, while Diego was in shotgun.

We get to the police records and Five and Diego have an argument about who should go in. Diego finally wins and gets out of the car.

"I'm going to make a phone call." Allison gets out of the car.

Five turns to me, "Hey love."

I grin, "Hey Five."

He smashes his lips onto me. I kiss back and wrap my arms around his neck. He snakes his hands around my waist and it turns into a full make-out session.

Five minutes later the door opens and Allison gets back in. Five and I immediately pull apart. Luckily, she didn't seem to notice. Then Diego gets back in the car holding up a file.

"You're welcome," Diego says, I scoff.

"Give me that." Allison grabs it and gasps.

"What?" I lean forward in the seat.

"Leonard Peabody is Harold Jenkins." She looks up at us.

"Who the hell is Leonard Peabody?" Five asks.

"Vanya's boyfriend," Allison replies.

"Well, then we gotta find them both! Vanya could be in danger!" I say and Allison turns on the car while I find his address in his folder.

As we approach the house Allison tells us to be cautious, "We don't know what Peabody is capable of. "

Diego snorts, "Didn't really seem dangerous to me. Looked kinda scrawny."

Allison sighs, "Yeah, well so are most serial killers and mass murderers. I mean look at them." She points to Five and me.

"Thanks." We say at the same time.

"So what does this guy want with Vanya?" I question.

"He's probably using her to get to us," Allison suggested.

"How about we ask him after we kill him." Five grabs my hand and I snort at his joke.

"Hey look. I'm gonna burst through-" Diego turned to look at Allison but she had left in search of another entrance.

Diego looked at Five and me, "Ya know? It would be nice if people just-"

Five spacial jumps us inside.

I was about to look in the kitchen when I heard a crash. I went to the front door to find that Diego had smashed through it and was now laying on the ground groaning.

"The door was unlocked," I say as I try the handle.

"Ya. Well, my way works just fine." Diego growls from the ground.

"Spread out. Yell if you uh... get in trouble." Diego stands up and brushes off the glass.

"Ah, inspiring leadership," Allison remarks.

"One of the greats." Five adds with a smirk.

"The best of the best." I sarcastically bow at Diego and he rolls his eyes while Five, Allison, and I die of laughter.

We split up and Five and I check the kitchen.

"Guys! I think you should see this!" Allison calls from the attic.

We run upstairs and stop dead in our tracks.

There were pictures of all of us with our faces burned off and red Xs on our posters.

"This guy has some serious issues," I comment trying to lighten the mood.

I look over and see Five winces, "You good?"

He looks at me, "Ya, I'm fine."

I nod.

"This was never about Vanya," Allison says.

Five puts his hand to his side, locks eyes with me, and then falls onto the ground.

"Five!" I kneel at his side and pull up his shirt to see a bullet wound.

"Oh, Five." Diego kneels next to me.

"Why didn't you say anything?" I ask with tears in my eyes.

"So close..." He closes his eyes.

"Five! No no no no no Five!" I look at Allison and Diego, "We have to get him to the Academy." They nod.

We carried him downstairs with Diego insisting I don't help because of my child. We got in the car with me in the back and Five's head on my lap.

Allison gets behind the wheel and starts to drive.

"Hurry up," I say impatiently.

We get to the Academy and carry Five inside.
