Madi: you guys okay?

she asks making switching eye contact amongst the two

Jess: yeah where's chris

Madi:uhh..

she trails off looking at nic

Nic: i think he went outside for a minute he seemed upset

Jess: oh okay im going to talk to him

she states leaving the house walking out to the driveway as she spottedchris

Jess: Hi..

she says quietly..

Chris: hi..

Jess: why are you out here by yourself loser

She continues trying to lighten the depressing mood sitting next to him on the concrete driveway

Chris: just thinking

Jess: about what

she says as she slightly bites her light looking at the boy next to her

Chris:Jess..

he trails off trying to find the words to communicate

Chris: I saw you and matt

Jess: Chris..

Chris: no its okay honestly i dont know why im upset about it because  its not you actually liked me ever

A/N: ** this always means their thoughts

Jess: *Dont do it jess you just made  up with matt* Chris I

she sighs out running her hand through her messy hair looking up at the sky as chris makes eye contact with her finally.

Chris: what do you feel differently about me then

Jess: yeah okay maybe i like you and how you just make me feel safe and maybe also admitting that i kept pushing those feelings down because i really was set on matt and i mean i am set on matt..

she trails off as chris sighs out after that last sentence.

Jess: but i cant keep acting like i dont like you because i do chris

she states out making landing eye contact with him

Jess: i like you alot

she whispers out

Chris: i like you too

he states as matt walks out

Matt: you two okay youve been out here a long time i thought yall got kidnapped or something

Jess: did you just come out here

she asks worried how much of hers and chris' conversation he heard

Matt: like a second ago why were yall making out or something

Chris: what the fuck no

jess: gross grow up

she says quietly pushing some of her loose strands of her hair behind her ear as matt sat down next to her making her now be in  the middle of the two... awkward

Jess's POV: my mind is just spinning out of control we have been sitting on the driveway for about 30 minutes and no one  has said a word the tension is already setting in and i already hate it luckily madi and nic walk out

Madi: there you guys are we thought you were asleep or something

jess: nope

she says looking up at madi  as nic takes a seat next to matt

Madi: scoot over chris

chris: why

madi: because i want to sit next to my bestfriend

chris: fine

he states not wanting to be dramatic and have her start to get suspicous of his actions.

Jess: you know what i think im going to go back inside and get ready for bed

Nic: aww you sure

Jess: yeah im just tired is all good night

she says as she starts to walk towards her front door

Madi: are you okay jess for real

she asks stopping her in her tracks..as jess proceeds to turn around and look at madi and then nic and then chris and matt..letting her mind fill with all the emotions she was currently feeling

Jess: you know what no im not okay i mean i feel  like a  really bad friend and person right now cause the fact is I LIKE CHRIS MATT
