Chapter 17. Rescuing

Being hold captive in a Chinese restaurant was not the way Simon planned to spend his Friday, but just one look at the way he was hold upside down and Melody's state were enough reasons for him to take action.

He broke free from the chains and landed gracefully on the floor. He rushed to his best friend's side and started to shake her. "Mels? Mels! You hear me?" He asked as he kept on shaking her.

The girl was kept unconscious as Simon called her name. He started to look around for anything that could help them get out and to his luck he found a phone. He started to tap on it the number he had in mind and waited for somebody to pick up.

"Hello?" A man's voice was heard from the other hand.

"I can't believe I am saying this but I've never been so happy to hear your voice. It's me. Simon." The nerd said in the phone.

"Where are you? Where is Clary?" Jace asked worried.

"I don't know. Some Chinese restaurant. I think this police officer, Alaric, got us arrested but it was a totally fake one. He and his friends took us to their hide out and they took Clary to the side and told her if they don't get the Cup they are going to kill us." Simon explained everything as fast as he could.

"Just calm down. Tell us what you see." Jace indicated.

"Ok." Simon said and then turned to the window. "Well, there is a lot of water around us." Simon informed. "There are some lockers and..." Simon stopped as his eyes widened when he saw the walls covered in marks. "I think this is some torturing room. There are claw marks all over the walls." Simon explained as he looked at the walls.

"Werewolves." Izzy said as she looked at her brothers.

"Alright. Simon you need to get more specific, tell us what you see." Jace said as he started to get more tensed as minutes passed.

"There is literally nothing I could give you-" The nerdy boy said as he started to look around the place until he discovered something. "Wait, I think I found something." He said and then got out some papers. "We are at Jade Wolf Chinese Restaurant, you need to hurry and get us out of here." Simon informed.

Alec watched how the boys communicated but something wasn't sitting right with him. He sighed as he looked at his sister, and without wanting to his eyes landed on the box of Melody's stuff. Alec's eyes widened as realization hit him. He snatched the phone out of Jace's hand, shocking his parabatai and his sister.

"Simon, where is Melody?" Alec asked.

"Melody, well..." Simon said rubbing the back of his head as he turned to look at his unconscious best friend.

"Is she alright?" Alec asked again feeling himself getting worried.

"She is unconscious. She is not responding to anything." Simon said as he got closer to the redhead trying to wake her up again.

Alec looked at his siblings, all of them having worried expressions. "It's not normal. She's a shadowhunter, she should be healing by now." Izzy commented as she looked at Alec.

Simon heard what she said and checked Melody closely. He raised her from the bunch of lockers only to discover a huge trail of blood that was running from the level of where her head was till the floor. 

Simon's eyes widened in terror as he looked at the back of the girl, to see it covered in blood and to notice the blood dripping from her head. 

"Uh guys, we're having a big problem." Simon said alerting the trio.

"What is it this time?" Jace asked.

"These guys cracked Melody's head open. She is bleeding, a lot." Simon informed as he tried to cover the wound and stop the bleeding.
