The champions were chilling in a field. Why? I don't know, come up with a reason yourself. But they were chilling. It was very chill.

Urbosa, Mipha, and Zelda were chatting, something on about politics and how to passive aggressively talk to a noble in such a way that they won't notice is passive aggressive. Daruk was laying in the sun, (totally not taking a nap, shush,) and Revali was being just a little gay.

How could he not, when Link was right over there? Away from the group to touch some moss?

Link was smiling, and it was too cute for Revali's brain to compute-

But Link was just touching moss, smiling. All the champions(-Daruk, who's totally not napping) had noticed it, but seeing as how it was Link? The knight who rarely smiled? They just let him touch the moss. No harm in letting the knight be happy, after all.

Then something weird happened.

Link muttered to himself. The knight who never spoke muttered to himself. And that wasn't even the weirdest thing! All of the champions heard, but none of them understood. Why?

Link had muttered a word in another language.

Only Revali wasn't in shock, as he had heard Link mutter something to himself before a few select times. And he could solidly say that he knew what Link had said. For situations like this had happened without the other champions around before, and for the ones closest to what this one was like, it was the same word.

Revali had figured out that language's word for moss.

Several times, he had seen Link touch moss or look at moss and mutter that word, nothing else in common for all of those times where that one word was muttered.

Link clearly liked moss.

The other champions were frozen(other than Daruk-) as Link just continues to feel the moss softly. His touch wasn't the only thing soft he had, as he also had a soft smile on his face, and a not-so-small part of Revali's soft side-

The champions had no idea what to think, or what the word was, or even what language it came from. But it didn't seem to mean anything bad, so they mentally noted to only mention it if Link ever opened up to them.

After all, last time one of them asked him about what something he did meant, he froze up and clearly tried to avoid doing that again in any of their sight.

They would rather be confused at their friend than ever make him close up again.
