"Momma!" I yelled while walking into her house.

"Jasiah my baby." She hugged me tight.

"It feels like I haven't seen in you in forever." She let go of the hug.

"Yea my fault ma i've been busy."

"Its ok at least you call me." she smiled.

"Smells good in here, where pops at?"

"Hes in the garage fixing up the car like always." I nodded and walked to the garage.

"Sup pops." I slapped this leg.

"Boy! I outta kick ya ass." he got up underneath the car.

"How ya been son." he gave me a small hug.

"Ight been chillin and hanging with friends."

"You need to start coming home more often ya mother be complaining to me how you never home." he said.

"You should be entertaining her not me." I laughed.

"Is the family coming today?"

"Nah ya mother only wanted it to be us today since we haven't seen you in awhile but they'll all be here for christmas."

"Awl damn I was hoping to see grandma."

"I'll probably have aunt Niqole facetime us so you can see her."

"Lets go inside before ya mother sets a fire on the kitchen." we both laughed.

Back inside it was smoky and hot, "Momma you ok in here?"

"Im good just made a little mistake." she held a smoky pan in her hand.

"What did you do now Reishell." pops took it from her and set it outside in the backyard.

"I forgot I had the cornbread in the oven cause I was focusing on the other food sorry."

"Take a break you've done enough cook baby, i got the rest."

"Ok well Jasiah come sit with me I wanna talk to you." she pulled me to the couch.

"Hows life been son?" she asked me.

"Its been cool you know just been hanging with friends and working."

"You got a girlfriend yet?" she smirked.

"Nah momma, ian really lookin for one." I laughed.

"You need to be i'm getting old I need some granbabies."
