First steps into reality

The Vessel 

A manifestation of the void's new found consciousness, the infinite nothingness condensed into a definite space, the formless given form. This story is about when a paradox became true, when none-existence reached inside reality to understand it. They were there, standing at the edge of creation, bearing the appearance of a pitch black and formless cloud of gas or dense liquid.

They had stayed there for years, accommodating to their new found "existence", still trying to understand their new urge to learn. After a decade long of adaptation, they finally manege to focus themselves completely, and now their gaze was focused forward, filled with a new found sense of purpose : traveling far and wide into reality with the simple goal of learning and understanding.

For 200 years they saw many things : the birth of planets, the death of stars, black holes devouring entire systems or super novas releasing unimaginable amount of power, both only bringing absolute destruction. Only for creation refilling the emptiness left behind in many different ways. Those events created never ending cycles that were filled with long periods of stability.

Those cycles seemed to be redundant, they were found all around the universe with the only changes being the absence of certain celestial bodies. It seemed that their quest for knowledge was already coming to an end. That is, until The Vessel found the planet Earth. They found other beings gifted with a mind and with this came the discovery of another type of chaos, one that comes with a world in constant change.

The Vessel arrived on earth without being noticed, they parkour the entire planet, discovering many types of creatures and environments. From the nanoscopique viruses to the gigantic blue whales, from the deepest depth of the seas to the highest pics, they went through deserts, swamps, jungles, arctic waist lands, plains, mesas and the smallest islands. they learned much, but all this knowledge was superficial.

Now, they unexpectedly felt the need to posses in depth understanding of everything and every species surrounding them. This feeling seemed to have originated from their prolonged  exposure to the dominant species of the planet. This phenomenon was perceived as corruption from The Vessel, and it meant that now, understanding Humans was a priority to determined their level of threat. 

Those intelligent beings were fascinating to observe. They conquered most lands of their planet, invented and build many things for reasons still incomprehensible to the void's vessel, but most importantly they had the same undying will to learn and understand. This begged the question of : is a will or emotions some kind of virus ? 

Emotions, what seems to be the second most important and dangerous discovery from those humans, as their lives seems to revolve around them. The Vessel understood that there seems to be two kind of them : positive and negative emotions, and that most of human's choices are made to evade the second category and create as much positive ones as possible.

And this is were those infamous meta abilities plays their biggest part. A weapon originally build by reality to fight the void seems to have found an other purpose in the human's hands. They have become the main source of emotions for this species, all of their lives were now dictated by those powers gifted to them. Truly like a virus.

But again, all of this knowledge was superficial, now it needs to have a deeper understanding, and because of the void's destructive nature there was only way for it to do so : "To understand by unmaking". If The Vessel were to unmade any being it would consume all the knowledge stored in their head.
