Jaya and Paxton talk about his new good grades he's been getting because of her. He is so thankful for his smart girlfriend. They head to Jaya's locker.

"Hey, Pax, wanna come to the Winter Dance with me?" Jaya asks.

Paxton smiles and he nods. "Yeah."

"Does Scarlett have a date?"

"She's going with Emmett," Paxton replies. "He asked and she was quick to say yes."

They walk into the cafeteria together to chat before classes.

"My uncle said he'd take me shopping for the Winter Dance," Jaya says. "He thinks I can rake my driver's test in a few months after I turn sixteen."

They head to English class and they see Devi sitting beside Jason. The two sit together and they get their book out. Pax rests his hand on Jaya's thigh.

"All right, homies," Manish says as he walks into the classrooms. "Since we've co,e to the end of our unit on the Great Gatsby, and because I can't read another paper about the symbolism of the green light," he leans against his desk, "... look, here's what we're gonna do. We're gonna do a mock trial to test your knowledge."

"A mock trial of what?" Devi asks. "We already m ow rang George Willemstad killed Gatsby."

"Word? Well. Guess what?" Manish challenges. "We're not trying George Wilson, okay? We are going to try and decide if our favorite trust-fund bae," he hands out some papers, "Daisy Buchanan, should also be tried for the murder of Jay Gatsby. Ooh, what do y'all think?"

"That's very near, Mr. K," Jaya speaks up. "Creative as hell."

"My thoughts exactly, Jay," Manish replies. "I've chosen your jobs for you. You're gonna be the prosecution, defense, witness, and so forth."

Jaya looks at her lapse. She is on the prosecution with Fabiola, Paxton, and Eleanor's actor boyfriend.

Jaya is in Paxton's shed with Pax, Fabiola, and Eleanor's boyfriend. Paxton is borrowing the dry erase board from Rebecca and is writing on it.

Paxton is writing it down. Jaya is sat in the chair behind while Fabiola and Eleanor's boyfriend sit on the couch.

"Okay, I think we should start by listing the facts," Paxton claims. He makes a dot on the board. "All right. Daisy drove the car that killed Myrtle." He writes DAISY DROVE THE CAR under GEORGE WILSON KILLED GATSBY.

"Uh-huh, uh-hug," the actor reject says, "and here's my thought... what if I leave the facts to you three, and I'm in charge of playing to the court's emotions?"

"And how would you do that?" Jaya bites back. She doesn't like this guy at all. She saw how he spoke to Eleanor earlier.

"By being Gatsby's silent haunting ghost," the reject says. 

"Is they just so you don't have to do work?" Fabiola accuses.

"Uh, it's a lot of work to act with only your eyes."

"Okay, fine. Who cares?" Paxton speaks up. "You're the ghost, dude."

"Excellent." He looks at Parton. "I'm gonna go look in your bathroom mirror and try to scare myself." He gets up and leaves.

Fabiola looks at the reject's phone when it buzzes and he has a text from an Isabella.

Isabella: talk tonight, babe?

Paxton writes something else on the board with his messy handwriting and the Malcom's gets another text, a couple of times.
