The Yoke's On You

On another side of Green Hill, a figure surrounded in an orange blur dashed around the area, crashing into a nearby rock and destroying it. It then leapt up into the air and destroyed another boulder, doing a pose. The figure revealed itself to be Shadow the Hedgehog, Annabelle's second boyfriend. He stood up and looked around, then continued moving as he destroyed more boulders. It seems he was looking for something.

After doing a slam dunk into one final boulder, he grins as he spots a Chaos Emerald in front of him. "Chaos Emerald," Shadow said picking it up. "There you are. Annabelle would be proud of me." He lifted it into the air. "Chaos control!" After this, he vanished into thin air and arrived on a ledge. As he sped down it, Shadow stopped when he heard the sudden rumbles, flickies flying in every direction.

What's going on? Shadow thought looking down at the ground. Then, a huge explosion of Chaos and Dark Gaia energy came his way. Shadow got into a stance, but then screamed, "Annie!" before being engulfed by it. Through it, he saw Sonic running in a structure that looked like a hamster ball in a weird environment. He saw sparks of energy flying ever which way, and even saw Sonic morph into Dark Gaia through his roars and yells.

Shadow reached out to Sonic after hearing him scream in pain when his quills locked into his skull, but the explosion ended, leaving Shadow were he was to start with. He snarled. 

"Sonic."

Shadow was seen again speeding across Green Hill, a determined look on his face. He knew Sonic was up to this whole scheme, and that meant that his fox girlfriend was in big trouble. You'll pay for this you blasted god of darkness! Shadow's thoughts snarled.

He spotted Sonic, who was collecting rings, bracelet shining in the sunlight. Shadow jumped up onto a ledge above him, and then jumped down and sped towards Sonic. Sonic then screams as Shadow punches him into the air. Everything then freezes, leaving Sonic in a weird pose.

"So, I know what you're thinking. 'Sonic has a twin brother?!' Well, no," Sonic narrates. It is now zoomed in on Shadow. 

"This guy right here is Shadow, and he's kinda my biggest rival. He's not only a real buzz-kill, but he's also dating my girlfriend." Shadow is seen destroying a rock and looking over at something in one image, which freezes to reveal another image of Annabelle and Shadow having a good time together.

"And by the way, he roller skates!" Sonic narrates again as the image of Annabelle and Shadow freezes to see Shadow running in the image below. He then turns to the readers. "They're air shoes," he says with a snarl before looking back.

Everything then unfreezes as Sonic gets sent flying back, losing some of his rings in the process. Sonic gets up. "Shadow?!" he gasps. "What did you do?! Where's Annie?!" Shadow snarls as he walks up to Sonic. "Some Dark Gaia you are!" Sonic growls and gets up, saying, "What did I do? Eggman is the bad guy and Annabelle is perfectly unharmed and with my team, remember?"

Shadow speeds towards Sonic. "You literally shook the world!" Sonic then smirks and jumps over Shadow. "That's cause I'm gooooood! And powerful apparently. Jealous?" Sonic then teased grabbing a ring and showing out. He teleports away as soon as Shadow teleported to Sonic's location. The two hedgehogs started running after each other, orange and blue trails following behind them.

"Maybe my winning disrupted your brooding? Or is it skulking? That's a word right?" Sonic at first questioned as he spin dashed into Shadow's feet, causing him to trip. Shadow landed on his feet instead of tripping over, and he got into a pose. "You need to stop Sonic, and listen for once! Annabelle might be worried sick about you!" Shadow reasoned getting up.
