It Takes One to No Place: Part 2

Sonic was seen standing on the stern of the ship, enjoying the salty breeze whip through his quills. He sighed happily. "Oh how I wish this could last," Sonic told himself with a smile. He left the ship's stern, saying hello to his new pirate friends. He hugged Desiree. "Enjoying the view? It's impressive huh?" she asked Sonic, who nodded.

Soon, it started to storm as lighting was heard. "A storm? I wasn't expecting that today," Sails told his sister. Batten and Rose also looked up at the storm clouds, and so did Dread. "Brace yourselves everyone. We're entering in storm territory," he told his crew. This was when Sonic got it again. A headache. He grabbed his head in pain and growled.

"Are you ok?!" Desiree asked Sonic in shock. "Get...back!" Sonic yelled through groans. Soon, Sonic was in so much pain, he got near the edge of the ship before falling of the sides, giving Desiree a heart attack. "SONIC!" she screamed. Dread also gasped at what happened. "No...he can't be serpent food! Not now!" he said in horror.

 Sonic, who couldn't swim, began to panic, and he was loosing air since he didn't have his gills present as waved his arms in the water, trying to swim back up. He kept on panicking, but felt more pain than ever before as he roared in the water, his body metamorphizing as his heart raced in fear.

The transformation was painful, scary, and terrifying for Sonic, but when it was over, he rose from the water, tendrils lashing behind him as he loomed over Dread's ship, hissing. Batten and Rose had their swords out, but Dread and Desiree's eyes widened in horror as Sonic lifted his tail, preparing to destroy the ship....

Sonic woke up with fear in his chest. He was still onboard the ship, it was daylight, everyone was asleep, and Sonic wasn't a giant sea monster. He sighed in relief, hand over his chest. It was only a bad dream... his thoughts trailed. The idea of him transforming on the surface still gave him the chills just thinking about it.

He stretched for a bit. "That was a late night..." Sonic told himself with a yawn. He jumped off of his hammock and leaned on one of the edges of the ship. Hearing the waves woke him up fully...and freaked him out. "I'm awake I'm awake!" he screamed. Then, he saw it. The Loop-de-Loop. It was under the water where the serpent dwelled.

"Ah. There it is, Green Hill. Just like all of the other places," Sonic said to himself with a sigh. Then, the headaches returned. "No, no, no!" Sonic yelled, grabbing his head again. He had a flashback to his dream when he fell of the ship's side and screamed in pain under the waves. He panted when it ended, the headache leaving. Another headache. I haven't had those in awhile, Sonic's mind trailed again.

As he watched the Loop-de-Loop disappear, he began to wonder how this Green Hill became submerged, or even how the sea serpent(Sonic was still calling dibs that it was himself)arrived and claimed the waters of No Place as its home. Desiree happened to wake up and see Sonic looking over the ledge. "Hey. Still thinking about the sea serpent story?" she asked Sonic as she joined him.

"Huh? Oh uh...Desiree. Didn't expect to see you awake," Sonic replied. He blushed like a madman at the sight of her, tail wagging like crazy. "Yeah. I'm usually an early riser. I like to see the sunrise. You must be one too. I can see that," she told to Sonic, who nodded in agreement. The two had a fun conversation while hearing the waves: Sonic told Desiree about his home, his Green Hill, his friends and his Annabelle, and the fact that he was a literal god.

"...Don't ask me how I became one, but lets just say that...I might of absorbed the original one fully-" Sonic was stopped by Desiree. "Hold it! YOU absorbed a god?!" she exclaimed. Sonic nodded nervously. "Yep. All because of my strong connection to it. Don't worry! I have it all under control," he finally said. She sighed in relief.
