Love we share

We are the pain

We are the future

The sickness so messed up

We are mutants

Treated like filth

But never putrid

Dumbed down beneath a force

So we believe were stupid

Outcast of life

Do we survive

Burned by acid

Tamed by lye

We eat our own

That are left to die

Burning cities

Burning skies

Taught from the cradle

Our elders lies

Then their revealed before our eyes

We own the caskets

Losing health

A sickness so severe

Not healed by wealth

No food in stores, check the tables

Outdated food, check the labels

See the ocean

Buried in debris

Blown away

Now we see

Blinded by our light

And never free

How can such great people

Be so weak

Where is our strength

Where is the power

Hidden by our enemies

Covered by acid showers

We ruin ourselves

But help each other

I give you my last breath

Then watch you smother

Double take

Single play

I watched you at night

I leave you in the day

I talk to myself

Hearing what I have to say

I speak words of your father

And keep you safe

Wrapped in your covers

You never lose faith

Adopted brother, how are thou

Cold and feeble

Revitalize somehow

I am brave, I am smart

We are not perfection

But are we far from the start?

I love you

And you love me

Our hugs can reach far

Across the universe! Across the sea!

We are stronger here

Stronger together

Love intertwines

And becomes a steel tether

Lost within we cannot bare

But we remember

The love we share

I love everybody, really. I want to be everybody's friend and helper. It's kind of annoying and others take advantage of me, but it's my nature. This poem is my feelings at one moment, I was listening to the news, heard something sad, was trying to study and listening to music. It was not hectic, but this is the product.
