Violet's world was mediocre. Sure, she was safe from harm and had the ability to cause a snowstorm. But she also couldn't had no passion for anything since she quit her career. A part of her froze when she stopped figure skating, which channeled her powers of ice and snow into a magical dance, and left her with built up abilities and emotions. At Camp Half-blood, no one understood. She was the odd girl who broke when she stopped being famous. But her friends didn't think that. They found Violet alone and close to death from heat. Being claimed by the goddess of snow made Violet's life worse, alone in a cabin that no one even dared go in because of the temperatures.
But when Percy Jackson, Violet's closest friend, disappears from camp, Violet is petrified of what it meant for the fate of the world. But she is forced to take a detour to watch over three half-bloods, which soon turns into a quest. And Violet doesn't realize it'll be a memorable December she'll want to go back to.
