After a long day at school, Stan arrived at his home with his backpack slung over his shoulder, ready to drop off his things before heading over to Kyle's house.

It was Friday, and tomorrow he, Kenny, and Kyle were going to the Arcades.

As Stan approached the front door of his house, he couldn't help but feel a sense of trepidation.

Tonight, hanging out with Kyle would be different.

Stan had something special planned for them.

A night filled with stars and songs.

The sky would be the backdrop for this special moment, where they could lose themselves in each other.

He would hold Kyle's hand, enjoying the feeling of their finger tips lightly touching.

When the moment was right, he would lean in for a kiss, his heart beating faster with each inch, and after that,he will confess to him.

He was sure that Kyle would feel the same, that he too was longing for this moment.

This evening was perfect for that.

School had been great - he had gotten an A on an important test today.

He had spent the day with his friend Kenny and had been able to let loose and have fun.

And now, his father was out of town for the evening, giving him the perfect opportunity to finally tell Kyle how he felt.

He was in the best mood he had been in for a long time.

The stars seemed to align for him, and he felt confident that everything would go well.

He left his backpack in a living room and made his way towards kitchen.

His mother was making a lunch, her back turned.

Stan embraced his mother from behind, his arms gently wrapping around her as he planted a sweet kiss on her cheek.

Sharon turned around to see her beloved son standing behind her,"Welcome home, my love. How was your day?" she said, placing a hand on his shoulder.

Stan smiled appreciatively, feeling the warmth of her touch. "It was great, mom. I got an A on that important test I was telling you about earlier."

"Really?" She responded excitedly. "Thats great!I'm so proud of you!"

"Yeah, it was a pretty tough test, but I worked really hard for it," he said, feeling a sense of pride in himself.

His mother's face lit up at that, and she hugged him tightly, planting a kiss on his forehead. "That's all I ever wanted for you," she said, her voice choked with warmth. "To see you happy and succeeding."

"I know,I know" Stan said reassuringly. "Did dad leave yet?"

Stan's mother nodded, saying, "Yes, Randy left for his business trip earlier this morning. So it's just the two of us for the weekend."

The boy couldn't help but feel a sense of freedom wash over him.

"Thank God." she added as she rolled her eyes.

Stan chuckled at this, "Literally thank God,you can finally relax mamma."

Sharon sighed, relieved, "I'm glad he's gone for a while so that I can finally enjoy myself."
