chapter 2 the overlord

After the death of the great devourer ninjago was still in ruin the ninja were helping to rebuild it but they needed somewhere to train Lloyd as now that the bounty was destroyed they needed a home as well nya and wu drove in on a mortar cycle out of nowhere and told them about the apartments in ninjago city and after seeing the cheapest and most expensive ones they decided to get the more expensive one and got jobs in order to pay for it still they ended up with the cheapest one after they got fired and now we're focused on training Lloyd while this was going on garmadon and malakai were coming up with plans to defeat the ninja and accidentally resurrected the pirate crew of the destinies bounty which attempted to take the mega weapon only to be disintegrated by it's power and they somehow managed to capture all of them the pirates then fight the ninja which are defeated by malakai after he escapes"who wins between pirates and ninja malakai"jay shouted for some odd reason the ninja then land the bounty and let the police deal with the pirate crew and are surprised when they see malakai garmadon and the serpentine flying away with it a few days later the ninja had delt with various attempts by garmadon to prevent Lloyds training creating clones of them getting daraths dojo closed and reviving a dinosaur like creature to hunt them down but none of those compared to now as malakai proposed the two go back in time and stop the team from being formed which he planned to do by killing nya in the fire temple which garmadon agreed to(the story is the same as in chapter one up till the fire temple bit)as nya was defending herself she noticed a second garmadon and malakai who the only difference was garmadon had four arms and a strange weapons both malakai and garmadon had her and wu cornered until jay blasts them back with lightning from his weapon which he along with the others planned to use to destroy the mega weapon the timeline them returned to normal and the father son team were thwarted once more after this defeat the two started searching for the dark island but doing so we're betrayed by scales who pushed them of the helicopter and into the water as the other generals chanted"all hail scales leader of the serpentine"as they flew back to ninjago garmadon and malakai came to on the beach of a strange island and heard a voice which informed them about the helmet of shadows which could control his army while they were climbing it the ninja were saving people from being killed by the sinkholes being created by the serpentine who later encountered a indestructible stone army that trapped them in a underground cavern the stone army then went to the surface and caused quite a lot of destruction but they escaped on the bounty as they escaped garmadon and his son finally got to the peak of the mountain and put on the helmet as he yelled"lord garmadon is back baby lord garmadon is back"soon after the ninja arrived to the island and managed to hide themselves in the forest malakai knew they were looking for something and after they were spotted he started following them but didn't attack them he saw them going to a temple which radiated light and entered as the ninja  attempted to activate a strange chain reaction and saw a strange black pentagram which he stood on that after the ninja got their new weapons a beam of light which turned black opon touching him a black and red robe formed around him as the ritual stopped the stone army had appeared and were blasted back by the ninja which targeted malakai specifically the blast sent him all the way back to his fathers can as he heard his father say"it seems your indestructible army isn't as formidable as you thought"to which the overlord says"the ninja may be getting stronger but so are we"referring to malakais increased power due to the ritual and the fact the doomsday clock was reaching it's end the ninja had a plan to defeat garmadon it was simple get the helmet of shadows and put it back on its pedestal which should prevent the victory of garmadon of course this plan didn't go as planned as the ninja were being chased by garmadon in a strange mech and the stone armies vehicle which they got somehow logic aside Lloyd blasted the mech nearly killing garmadon but he hesitated finishing him out of fear of his brother who was watching the ordeal but they ended up running once again they managed to get to the clock and tried putting the helmet on various different parts of it only to find the pedestal which once the helmet was on it a strange horn could be heard which signaled the creation of a tank like vehicle and they drove it to the beach after getting there fired a blast of dark matter which corrupted the people of Jamaica village as the ninja rushed to stop them more than half the team were slowed down by malakai who blasted them for a while before heading back to see his father being possessed by the overlord although malakai was evil he didn't want someone that isn't his father to rule ninjago and decided to help the ninja"pick a side already good or evil"jay shouted at him opon hearing he wanted to help but wu countered with"we need all the help we can get currently jay be grateful he isn't bringing ninjago to ruin at the moment"the team then got back to ninjago Lloyd using the first spinjitzu masters mech and the rest of the team using the ultra dragon once they got there they started fighting the stone army as they climbed the tower when they reached the top only malakai and Lloyd remained the brothers waisted no time in attacking him and later Lloyd activated his true potential which defeated the overlord after his defeat ninjago was cleansed of evil and everyone was surprised to see garmadon no longer evil and with that ninjago was finally at peace for now
