Chaptee 15: The date

Erin was trying to clean the house to get her mind of today, she was scared for tomorrow she really was. She didn't want to do this but she had to, this was the only way to get better for her family, for jay, for Hank. Her phone buzzed and she saw it was a message from jay.

' get ready, and wear what you wore for our first date'

' why'

' just do it will you'

She smiled at the message she could hear his sassiness through it but she also hates suprised so she reluctantly went upstairs to get changed. She was doing her head when she heard the doorbell go off. When she walked down the stairs to open the door and it was jay. She looked at him and really looked at what he wore and it was he had wore on their first date. A black jacket, not the leather one he used to hug but a different kind, with the white t shirt and jeans.... And he looked handsome as hell.

Whilst jay was walking up the stairs to hanks house he was nervous, but when she opened the door he was knocked of his feet. Erin wasn't the girl to wear like a fancy dress to a date. She was never those type of girls, she liked casual clothes. There she was, with her green jacket the one with flowers, a black t shirt and jeans with her wavy and her black boots.  He was blown after all these years and her condition she looked beautiful as hell.

' now are you going to tell me why you messaged me to get ready whilst I was cleaning?' She asked as she moved inside the house with jay behind.

' you were cleaning?' It was more of a question than a statement cause the Erin he knew was lazy, she hated to clean and that was his job when they used to love together.

' yes I clean, I was in New York alone I had to get used to it. Since I didn't have my house husband there' she snickered and he rolled his eyes.

' so.. I'm here to ask you something' jay spoke  with nerves running inside him she looked at him waiting.

' I want to take you out on a date, so will you do me the honours Erin lindsey and go out with me?' He asked, she smiled at him. This s what she needed, someone to brighten her up and it was jay Halstead.

' if I say yes you have to do something for me' she said with a mischeviois smile.

'..... fine what is it?' Jay questioned.

' you have to let me drive, and I am driving' she spoke, and this was the Erin lindsey he knew.

' No because it will ruin the surprise but I promise you you can drive on the way back' he said as he had a smirk on his face.

' fine' she scoffed.

' okay let's go, wear your coat it's a bit called and your hat and gloves.. times ticking.. get your medicines were out all day today' Erin ran and grabbed her coat along with her medicines. And out they went the door ready for the day.

Once they sat in the car, Jay was excited wheras Erin wasn't. She hates suprises and jay knew that but he alwwys teased her for it. When they were going down the familiar road she looked at jay and smiled who smiled back.

' we're going to the purple pigs' she asked amused. They were going where they had their first ever date.

' yeah we are'

Once they reached the destination, they walked into the restraint with jay holding Erins hand , and there she knew she felt safe. They sat down and jay had smiled at her.
