My Spark (A Poem)

In shadows cast by fading light,
A spirit dulled, once gleaming bright.
Lost within a muted haze,
Kindness veiled in a weary gaze.

A gentle heart, now burdened, weighed,
The spark within begins to fade.
No malice meant, yet words may sting,
A soul adrift, a broken wing.

The laughter, once a lively tune,
Now echoes softly, out of tune.
Misunderstood in silent plea,
Longing for the light to set it free.

Within this labyrinth of gray,
Compassion lingers, seeks its way.
For kindness blooms in shadows dark,
Reviving sparks, a gentle spark.
