Depression's Melancholy Verses (A Poem)

In shadows deep, where darkness clings,
A weary soul in sorrow sings.
No sunlight breaks the endless night,
A silent scream, a hopeless plight.

The echoes of a joy long gone,
A heartache's dance, a somber song.
The weight of clouds upon the chest,
In sorrow's arms, the spirit rests.

No laughter blooms, no colors bright,
Just endless void, a starless night.
A somber journey through the pain,
In solitude, where tears remain.

The echoes of a joy long gone,
A heartache's dance, a somber song.
No whispered solace to be found,
In silence deep, despair is bound.

A melancholy symphony,
Each note a sigh, a memory.
No silver lining to be seen,
In shadows cast by what has been.

So lingers on the heavy air,
The ghostly touch of deep despair.
No refuge found in time or space,
A poem etched in shades of grace.
