s i x t e e n : A Lie.

An enchanting lie that knows no bounds,
Wrapped around my spirit so tight,
Offering me sanctuary in my darkest moments,
And whispered sweet promises of love and delight.

A falsehood so tender in its embrace,
It hugged my soul with soothing light,
Akin to the tender kiss of moonbeams,
That wrapped their arms around me with all their might.

It pledged me a world of wonder and bliss,
Where love thrives and roses bloom,
And my heart sings with endless joy and happiness,
A world that soothes my pain and drives away my gloom.

Though it may be false, this lie I treasure,
For it keeps me alive and gives me pleasure,
A beauty so rare, it fills my life with grace,
And lends a sparkle to my heart and face.
