"Are you sure there's no teleportation magic?" Reza asks for the fifth time. The others groan. It had only been a few hours since their departure from the Finesse residence and Reza had been constantly questioning them about the magical abilities that were in Cerebrosus.

Marlena rolls her eyes. "Reza, how many times do I have to explain this?" Her friend shrugs nonchalantly.

Marlena had given Reza many "lessons" about the curious gifts that Brosians have. "The abilities that cerebrosians have are extremely versatile and can range from common to rare.

"The most common ability is the ability to move objects. What objects depends on user to user and on practice. More moderate abilities are those who are able to wield the elements. Individuals don't display any elemental abilities until they are at least eighteen years of age though. For rare abilities, there are a couple worth noting.

"First is the Lementorc. This individual can delve into a person's mind and learn their darkest secret. Next is Emuvock. Someone with this ability can manipulate sounds and if strong enough can even take away the ability to speak.

"The last of the rare abilities is the Seer. This is an individual that predicts the future. Not only can Cerebrosians possess these abilities but we can also put imbue them into objects. That is how the letters work. They were imbued with the summoning gift."

Despite Marlena's explanation, Reza hadn't been able to and could not fathom that no one possessed the power to fly or teleport.

"Until it makes sense, I guess," Reza responds with a cheeky smile. She looks at her surrounding as they all continue down the pebbled path. The sun is out shining brightly, tinged slightly orange, the grass teetering between blue and teal, and worn-out railings on either side of the path dance across Reza's eyes. The air smells of floral scents and she cannot help but take a deep breath. Everything in this world excites her and despite not initially wanting her friend to come along, Reza is appreciative to have Marlena there.

To her left, Reza catches the sounds of a frog. Looking over, she catches sight of a baby blue-colored frog. It sits upon the worn-out white railing, idling. "Wow, people would pay good money if we caught that." Ren appears next to Reza. The group stops to admire the frog. Reza looks at him confused. "Water frogs are used in a lot of products here. My mom uses Guonis spray on a lot of stuff." The group continues their trek toward Olvedad.

"Why does she use that?"

"My home is pretty flammable and there is a firedrop hive somewhere on our property." Ren notices the look of confusion on Reza's face. "Firedrops are cute little bugs and are usually friendly but if you get them agitated enough, they'll set whatever is in their vicinity on fire. A water frog's mucus is the only thing that can render a firedrops fire useless. Why I don't know."

Marlena rolls her eyes and begins to explain the properties of the creatures. As she does so, the frog leaps into the grass on the other side of the fence. This prompts the gang to continue their walk.

There was still so much about Cerebrosus that Reza did not understand, despite this world being similar to Reza's world. Marlena and the Finesse family attempted to cram as much information as they could throughout the month that she's been in Sacauménos. Still, there were just too many questions and not enough answers. The only true way for Reza to understand is to travel and experience life in this new world.

From behind, Reza hears a flapping sound. Then a cry of anger from Xander. She looks to see that a newspaper has hit the back of his head. "What the fuck?" He says rubbing the back of his head. Ren doubles down laughing. "Shut up, Ren." Xander snaps. He holds the newspaper in his hand.
