Indrajeet’s Reflections:

1561, Raigarh Kingdom

On this day of grandeur, the coronation of Prince Chandrajeet was not just a ceremony but a testament to our legacy. The air was thick with the scent of marigolds and the sound of conch shells, as the prince ascended the throne. The Throne of Raigarh. But as dusk fell, a greater joy unfurled—Keerthi Rai, the queen, bestowed upon us a beacon of hope, a daughter named Tejaswini by me which symbolizes luminous hope. I was deliriously happy because I always wanted a daughter but unfortunately it couldn't happen but now I'm glad that the Goddess Lakshmi herself came.

One Year Later:

Tejaswini, the embodiment of her name—radiant—began to recognize the faces that adored her. Her giggles echoed through the palace halls, a melody sweeter than the veena’s strings.

Age Three:

She was a whirlwind in silk, her tiny feet barely touching the marble floors as she chased the peacocks in the gardens, calling me “Dada Saheb” and Durga "Dadi Saheb" with a voice clear and pure.

She was 9 and her brother Arjun was 14. The palace chambers resonated with tales of valor at dusk. Tejaswini, with eyes wide, sat beside her brother Arjun, absorbing stories of warriors and kings. Her spirit, fierce and unyielding, yearned for the same independence that the tales promised. I was surprised to know that Tejaswini also liked stories of warriors like Arjun, I wanted her to be independent like him. Every girl should be independent like boys but not everyone thinks like this. Maybe, someday women will also enjoy freedom.

Age Seventeen:

Time, the silent thief, had woven its magic, and Tejaswini stood on the cusp of womanhood. Her eighteenth spring was but a sunrise away. The little princess who once ran through the corridors was now a force to be reckoned with, skilled in the art of the sword and the grace of the steed.

Arjun also got married 3 months ago with the Princess of Harigarh, Princess Meera. I am highly happy that Arjun is now settled and will be King in some years but somewhere I feel like Tejaswini should also get a prince of her dreams but I'll not be forcing her to get married, she will when the Supreme power will want.

Chandrajeet and Keerthi are also ultimately harmonious King and Queen.

Tejaswini has now learnt sword fighting, horse riding, hunting etc. We never stopped her because she always liked these things, I don't know if she has learnt nritya or cooking.

Anyways, I am hoping for the good future of our family and people of Raigarh.

Meanwhile, In Devgarh there were preparations made for the arrival of Karthik and Gayatri, the revered monarchs of Veergarh. Karthik the elder son of  Krishandev Singh Chauhan, The King of Devgarh with a heart swelled with pride, had once gifted his son a kingdom on his wedding that they won together. Yet, amidst the celebrations, a shadow lingered—Hriday, the younger prince, yearned for a father’s love.

Krishandev was very happy that he had made relations with the strongest kingdom Jodhgarh by marrying Karthik with Gayatri the Princess of Jodhgarh. But somewhere he is not same with Hriday due to the predictions, he never had the same relations like Karthik with Hriday because he doesn't want to lose Devgarh due to Hriday. He has restricted everyone to not to give so much love to Hriday like a family member and treat him like a normal person but he doesn't knows that behind his back everyone in his family are trying to give love to Hriday but still afraid and following the rules of his father.

But somewhere Hriday wants love and affection from his father and tried to fight with every situation just to get close to his father. He knows that his father doesn't wants his family to give him love or care but he is so lucky that they are neither treating him like trash like his father nor like a diamond. They try to give love and sympathy but they don't know about the hollows in his heart. They always show love in different ways. His mother cooks his favorite food and comes to give it to him late at night when everyone is sleeping, how his grandparents always show him warmth by showing him right path. How his little sister always try to lighten his mood by showing her little tricks or blabbering nonsense just to make him laugh. He knows how Karthik and Gayatri don't show any emotion in front of his Pita Saheb and come to give him gifts and affection in the evening secretly. But he knows that still it's not pure love. Everyone is still afraid of his father but are trying to show love. He knows that it's neither true love nor coming from their hearts. But still He loves everyone and is very thankful for everything. He loves his father even after knowing that he never loved him nor he will love him in future but he has a believe in the Supreme power that everything will be alright one day.

So, what's the reason behind the discrimination between Karthik and Hriday by their father?

What happened in the past?

Is Krishandev wrong?

See you in the next part!
