As you ventured home you started to smell smoke in the air. You brushed it off as someone could just be having a campfire nearby. You noticed a bright light shining from farther back behind a few houses. The amber glow was coming from the lonely
curl-de-sac on the hill your house sat on . You felt your heart beat speed up. As you got closer you heard scrambled people and yelling. You quickened your pace and the screams got lounger and the smoke became thick and heavy inside your lungs. You coughed as you made the turn to your house, the screeches piercing your eardrums. Then you stopped dead in your stride.

You eyes widened as you stared at your lovely childhood home and watched as it became engulfed into the dancing flames and embers surrounding the property. A few neighbors stood and watched fearfully as a few tried to fight through the blaze to help whoever could be inside. You instantly blood rush to you face and salty tears gush from your eyes.

You started into a sprint as you ran blindly towards the dazzlingly horrible light from the fire that seemed like it would burn eternally in your memory. You were grabbed by a swarm of hands trying to prevent you from being engulfed by the flames aswell. You screamed as tears poured from your e/c eyes. Every second felt like a century as the moments blurred together inside your head that was boiling with a myriad of emotions. As you wrestled with the people holding you back you saw someone come out of your home. They were carrying your brother who was burnt beyond recognition. Your heart erupted with so much red-hot pain as you stoped fighting your restraints. Your face went pale and it seemed like everything stopped. Through the gasps of bystanders you heard someone yell "There's someone else in there, but we can't reach her!" You knew exactly who they were talking about.

All the memories with your family in that house flashed before your eyes as you heard a familiar voice calling your name. It was Uraraka but you were too heart broken to acknowledge her presence. You stared blankly as people put out the house fire with pales of water. You watched as the framework of your life crumbled right before you. You observed doctors draping a cleanly white sheet over you brothers limp charred body. Your mother was no where to be seen as people scrambled around to help with whatever they could.

After the fire was finally put out and the ashes of your life settled onto the ground you stood up. You ignored the calls of dear friends wanting to assist you and you walked mindlessly away from the scene. They couldn't find your mother after the fire and they informed you that she was gone. For good. Just like dad, losing your father was one of the hardest things you ever had experienced and you promised that it would never happen to anyone else you loved. But now you were walking away from the corpse of your life just hours before.

Eventually your friends stopped following you and you were left to your own thoughts, it's not like you were listening to there pleads anyway. You wandered around in the dark evening that was occasionally illuminated by a street lantern. You felt tears roll down your red-hot cheeks as you silently sobbed, reminiscing what was your life up until now. You exhaled shakily as you remembered the dinner that was supposed to take place that evening. You wondered if Izuku and his mom had heard about your family's accident yet. Things spread fast through word of mouth.

You finally came back to your senses and realized you had wandered to a unpopulated part of the town. The distance between street lights widened and the amount of buildings thinned. This was where the town ended and the woods began. You remember vaguely being told as a child that the woods had mysterious creatures by your friends. The folk tales spoke of pixies, weird plants and herbs, and mutated animals. You slowly crept farther down towards the ominous trees.

You looked at the tree line with an empty heart. "Well I guess I don't have anything to lose.." You quietly groaned as you stumbled towards the shadowed veil that rested over the forest. You entered the woods and stopped to listen to the sounds you were hearing. Owls cooed somewhere in the distance as you heard frogs croak down by a small creek that was reflecting the light of the sky above you. As you continued small pebbles scraped together under your shoes.

                                  TIME SKIP

You don't know how long you had been walking, the aspects of the forest filled your senses and distracted you from the emotions that were flooding your mind. You looked at your surroundings and realized you had no idea where you had walked. "Shit!" You muttered as you began to panic. You had no sense of direction that could lead you back to town. You started to run in whatever direction you could, hoping it was the correct way.

Eventually you found a river running through the jungle of trees. You cupped your hands to scoop some liquid into your palms.  You sipped the water from your palms and then looked at the watch that began to loosely hang from your wrist. "God, it's already 4 am?!" You cried. You looked around as you saw birds flock from the trees due to your unexpected disturbance of the comfortable silence that hung over the small clearing.

You stared up at the moon as you sat still and felt the blades of green grass brushing against your s/c skin. As your muscles relaxed it finally set in how tired you had become. You instinctively laid down on your back and heavily exhaled. Your eyes fluttered closed as your thoughts became blurry. You heard rustling nearby but were two tired to look at what it could be. You closed your eyes and fell into slumber.

Third Person POV

A pair of ruby eyes glared from behind some rocks and plants at the strange girl who laid down on the ground in front of him. The man observed her obviously exhausted figure and noticed that she had fallen asleep almost instantly. He cautiously stepped towards the girls relaxed figure. He cocked his head to the side as he kneeled down to get a closer look at her. He muttered something in different language with an irritation in his voice. (Translation: "She just walked into my camp and fell asleep, who does she think she is?"). He scoffed and stood contemplating for a minute or two before seemingly coming to a conclusion.

He walked over to the limp body and scooped the girl up like she weighed nothing. The necklaces that adorned his neck began to swing against his bare chest as he lifted you to his body. He shuffled you around in his muscular arms to get comfortable and then started to walk over to the small makeshift camp he'd created.
