Raina Gilbert ( Vampire Diaries ) ON HOLD

Chapter Eleven: As I Lay Dying.

Raina's bags had been packed and stored into her car, everything she had ever needed fit inside the boot of her car and that in itself was kinda sad.

She wondered down to the basement where Damon currently kept due to the werewolf bite holding an elixir in her hand, she found him not looking too good and smiles small
"Hey"

"What are you doing here?" He weakly breaths eyes nearly closed.

"Brought you something" she set the glass bottle between the bar's of the small window "it'll reduce the fever and help with the pain" Damon struggled to stand, swaying slightly as he steps towards the door, Raina took a step back out of his reach and watched him take it with out even questioning her "I'm leaving, Damon"

"What? Why? Because Klaus is still alive?"

"Thats part of the reason, yes" she admits and sigh's "you and Stefan accused me of being the Raven Witch, well. I'm not the Raven Witch but I am the Huntress" she admits with a slow shrug "and Klaus know's that. If he comes looking for me and see's Elena alive then..." she trails worriedly "I just wanted to say thank you"

"For what?" He frowns through the door.

"For being selfish with Elena. Whilst feeding her your blood wasn't the answer, I'm still grateful for it. She would have come back no matter what, so thank you. And thank you for letting me stay, thank you for being family" she smiles in a way Damon had never seen towards him "and who knows, in another life. Maybe me and you could have been something" Damon weakly smirks making her chuckle sadly "goodbye Damon" she walks off ignoring his calls for her as she climbs up the stairs. Gulping thickly she left the house climbing in her car and frowned slightly. Maybe just leaving wasn't the best idea. She'd be on the run from Klaus, perhaps there was another way. Before she can start the car her phone rings making her frown.

Pulling her phone from her jacket she saw Stefan's name on the screen and debated but answered the call
"Hello, love" her breath hitched hearing Klaus "Stefan's here trying to save Damon, perhaps you'd like to sweeten the deal?" She chewed her lip rubbing the letter's on her chest and sigh's.

"That depends" she spoke with confidence "do you have a cure?"

"As a matter of fact. I do" there's an amusement in his words "so, what will it be, love? Come willingly to save Damon or shall I have to come find you?"

"You want to make a deal? Fine. But you and me have another deal to make" she told deciding to put matter's into her own hands when it comes to Elijah. Hanging up the call she starts her car and drove across town to Alaric's apartment building, her neck tingled weakly making her pause for a moment in her car before climbing out and heading up the stairs raising a hand to knock only to have the door opened by Klaus who steps aside with a smirk gesturing her inside.

Stefan and Katherine were both inside watching curiously as Raina's eyes fell on Elijah for a moment. She turned to face Klaus raising a hand and twists her wrist, Katherine and Stefan's necks snap simultaneously and they dropped to the ground
"You're a witch" Klaus looks over the girl.

"Twin of the doppelgänger can't be human" she explains shortly "want to make a deal?"

"I take it saving Damon isn't all you want" he raised his chin studying her "very well, I'll bite. What is it?"

"I'll work for you for five years, hunting and spells, small ones, I'm not a strong witch and once those five years are over, I get what I want" she told confidently.

"Sorry, love. Got to know what you want, can't very well make a deal with out knowing the details" Raina's eyes squint slightly wondering if telling Klaus was a good idea.
