According to National Geographic (2023), Solstices occur because Earth's axis of rotation is tilted about 23.4 degrees relative to Earth's orbit around the sun. Solstices marked the changing of the seasons. So, we have Summer and Winter solstice. Furthermore, Solstice means "sun standing still" (washingtonpost) and daylight hours with the summer solstice depends on the latitude or the distance that we have from the equator. As you can remember, June 21, 2023 is the Summer Solstice for this year said that sun is shining at it's highest and brightest (yahoo).
