*[UPDATED CHAP 08 /12082023] Summer Solstice

12:00 Midnight.

Bumaba ako after shower and went straight to kitchen para magtimpla ng barley tea and to my surprise, nandoon na si Niko and he's working on his laptop.

"Nagugutom ka ba?" he asked "microwave ko Chinese food?"

"Nope, gusto ko lang barley tea" I replied "what are you doing? Akala ko ba pahinga na?"

"Concern ka ba or curious?"

Pinangliitan ko siya ng mata "wag mo na sagutin question ko kung ayaw mo" I said while closing the fridge door

He chuckled "nagdodouble check lang ako ng event for later. May nakabook rin na engagement party for this weekend, dalawa"

"Can I come?"

"Kung invited ka sa engagement party" he replied and I rolled my eyes and tumawa siya ng malakas "I was just kidding" he added

Lumapit ako sa kanya and checked na wala siyang day off for this week. May booked na engagement party on Sunday "can you invite me to provide coffee and pastries kahit sa staff? I really wanna see you in action"

"Curious na curious ka sa work ko, why?" he looked at me. Napakasoft niya tignan right now. With his bangs down, him wearing his eyeglasses and just sporting a black jogging pants and plain white shirt

"Kasi.." I said to bring me back to reality "ang unfair lang na nakikita mo ang ginagawa ko but yours remained, mysterious" I explained, he chuckled "hay nako!"

"Sige, I'll put you sa magpo-provide ng coffee and pastries sa hotel staff, 5 lang naman kami doon na nakaassign"

"Eh? Pero I can see a huge number sa file mo, how about the others?"

"Hindi sila hotel personnel, 5 lang talaga kami don naka-assign. Others are staff na kinuha ng wedding organizer ng mga clients"

"I see"

"Is this your way of getting to know me better?" he teased

"Pinagsasabi mo!" I walked away from him para maghugas ng baso

"Lemon, we can talk about us right now? I can multitask"

Pinoprocess ko pa yung sasabihin ko and pinabayaan ko na lang yung sounds ng water faucet yung mangibabaw between us two. After washing the glass, humarap ako sa kanya and he's frigging waiting for me to answer. 

I sighed

"I acknowledged that you confessed" I said and nanlaki yung mata niya "but please don't go around teasing me for everything.. I mean, ofcourse curious ako about your work and kung paano ba kita mapapatigil na daanan ako bago ka umuwi"

He laughed "sige" he said "for now, okay na sa akin na you acknowledged my confession"

"Thanks" I replied "so, ilang set ng coffee and pastry ang dadalhin ko for Sunday?" I grinned and he smiled at me.
