Three years after Dazai's departure from the Port Mafia, he discovers that Chuuya has moved on and is now in a relationship with someone new. In a moment of impulsive curiosity and lingering emotions, Dazai reaches out to Chuuya, leading to a conversation that unearths the unspoken regrets and hidden truths between them.

The night was calm and filled with a haunting silence as Dazai, amidst his memories and unanswered questions, mustered the courage to make a call he had been putting off for far too long. The phone rang, each echoing tone amplifying his uncertainty. Finally, Chuuya's voice broke through the static.

"Dazai," Chuuya greeted, his voice laced with a hint of surprise. "To what do I owe the pleasure?"

Dazai took a deep breath, his voice tinged with a mix of resignation and longing. "So, you have a boyfriend now?" he asked, trying to conceal the vulnerability that lingered beneath his words.

Chuuya couldn't help but chuckle, a faint mockery underlying his amusement. "Why, Dazai, are you not over me yet?" he replied, a hint of playfulness in his tone.

Dazai hesitated for a moment, his voice betraying his true feelings. "Maybe... I suppose some things are harder to let go of than others. But tell me, Chuuya, do you have a boyfriend?"

There was a pause on the other end of the line, a pregnant silence that spoke volumes. Finally, Chuuya responded, his voice laced with a sense of finality. "Yes, I do."

Dazai's heart sank, a mixture of regret and disappointment flooding his senses. "You never told me his name," he murmured, a hint of sadness coloring his words.

Curiosity brimming within him, Chuuya couldn't help but inquire, "Why do you want to know his name, Dazai?"

Dazai let out a soft sigh, his voice filled with a blend of resignation and a touch of mischief. "I suppose I just want to know who's locked in my basement right now."

Chuuya's grip tightened on the phone, shock coursing through his veins. His mind raced, searching for an explanation, as fear crept into his eyes. It felt as if the world around him had shifted, leaving him trapped in a web of uncertainty. Slowly, he dropped the phone, the connection severed, but he could still hear Dazai's laughter echoing in his mind.

In that moment, the unspoken regrets, the unresolved emotions, and the tangled history between them converged, leaving Chuuya to grapple with the consequences of their shared past and the choices he had made in the present.
