You sat at one of the many tables and grabbed a pen and some paper,
You did your best to translate the book,
And ,truth be told, you did a decent job,
Well decent for the pages you managed to translate,
Which was about three,
Before the same librarian came up to you and said in monotone:
"you need to follow me"
"why?" you asked puzzled,
"rules of the library" they responded,
You decided not to contest it,
But before you went with them you put the papers in your bag,
You followed them to the back office part of the library,
The walls appeared to be cracked and the carpet damp,
The librarian turned to you and said:
"that book was burned a long time ago, how you found it is beyond me.. but I must solve this issue"
The librarian the book from you hand and shoved you you into a dark room in one swift motion,
But before the librarian locked the door you saw their eyes change,
change to those of the lone walker.
