Ch. 11 - We're Learning

"Human!" 

"Cale, nya!"

Immediately after walking in, Cale had to avoid falling under the weight of an excited dragon and red kitten.

Had it been all three children, he probably would've fallen backwards into the still blushing Choi Han.

On, the oldest of the three, gently rubbed against Cale's leg in cat form. 

She then transformed into human form and hugged Cale.

"On?"

"Are you alright?"

On looked up at Cale with a slight frown.

Cale paused before giving a response.

"I am not completely ok, but I am feeling better now."

All heads in the dining room snapped to the red head.

Choi Han smiled.

Alberu, who had been joining them more recently to eat despite his busy schedule, looked at Cale like he was crazy.

Ron chuckled while Beacrox almost dropped a plate.

Rosalyn had to catch her silverware with mana.

Hans looked like he was ready to pass away on sight.

'If the young master is admitting to not being ok, how terrible must it be.!?'

"Young Master Cale, are you in a lot of pain!?"

Hans asked while hurriedly walking up to inspect the young noble.

Cale looked startled.

"No?"

"Then, are you ill?"

The deputy butler circled the red head while checking for any signs of discomfort.

"I am not."

Hans paled.

"T, then what is troubling you so much that you admit you are not ok?"

Cale looked in Choi Han's direction with an expression that was asking for help.

Choi Han had to turn his head away in order to contain his laughter.

The corner of Cale's mouth twitched in displeasure.

'Why are they reacting like this?'

"I am not feeling very troubled. I figured it would be more appropriate to tell you honestly how I feel without excluding anything."

...

Gasp!

Hans dramatically wiped tears from his eyes as he ran to tell the Duke of good news.

"Our young master has grown up! Our young master has.. soooob!!"

His clumsy footsteps disappeared quickly down the halls of the estate.

Everyone was once again left in shock.

Eruhaben looked at the smiling Choi Han with awe.

'Not even I, an ancient dragon, could have done that.'

"H-human!! You grew a brain!"

Cale pretended to ignore these unpleasant reactions.

On, who was looking at Cale with a blank expression, suddenly smiled.

Cale was taken aback as he had not seen her smile so widely before.

"Mmf." 

On buried her face into Cale's abdomen while her ears flickered with delight.
