matcha wakes me up by sitting on my chest.

she's not heavy at all, but when she repeatedly licked my nose, it became a problem.

i rub the goo from my eyes and i look at the little kitten laying on me.

i rub her neck, making her purr softly.

"good morning matcha." i whisper to her, even though she can't answer me.

i gently move her so she lays next to me while i get up.

after using the bathroom, and quickly doing my skincare, i head to the kitchen to make myself a small breakfast.

i begin the coffee maker while placing an everything bagel into the toaster.

i sit quietly waiting for it to toast, drumming my fingertips on the counter.

when my coffee is made, and my bagel is ready to eat, i grab the book that sits on my coffee table and i head to the small balcony that my apartment offers.

it gets just the right amount of sunlight, and i have the comfiest couch out there to sit on.

matcha follows me outside, and when i'm settled she plops next to me, purring loudly.

i subconsciously pet her while reading my book, i'm almost finished it, and excited to see how it ends.

my phone vibrates on the small table out here, and i set my book down.

it's a text from conner.

while reading his message, i take a sip of my coffee. relishing in the taste.

i can make some damn good coffee, although matcha will always be my favorite.

Good Morning Lydia, it seems that we cannot meet up today. Work just got really busy, and I don't think I'll be able to make it home anytime soon. Can we reschedule our date?

conner wants to call tomorrow, and it doesn't worry me or anything. i somewhat feel i can trust him.

i can't wait to go on our date, so we can be able to get to know each other more.
