The working day was coming to an end. At least Vernon wished. Rather, the working day planned to go overtime as he would be forced to go to a so-called "welcome party" for the new recruit.

Even though that was the last thing he wanted to do with his spare time, it would in some respects keep his mind off of his phone and the fact that Seungkwan was severely rejecting him.

Nonetheless, he sighed as he clicked his pen and began to pack up his things to leave.

"Hey, boss man. You ready?"  Joshua called from the door.

"Yeah," Vernon nodded toward him. It was time.

-

Seungkwan stayed leaned forward as he brushed his toenail with a bright shimmery blue, his fingernails to match.

He spent most of the day indoors since he was still a bit hungover from last night. But regardless, he planned to go out again tonight. Not to the bar but instead to the convenience store. He forgot something.

That something being a few alcoholic beverages. He read online somewhere a while back that drinking more could cure a bad hangover and it was time to make use of that information.

Admittedly, he just couldn't stand to stay sober for much longer. His lingering anxieties about Vernon were all-consuming and he couldn't afford to go out to the bar every day until then.

He wasn't an alcoholic. At least he would like to believe that. But alcohol did help in these kinds of situations. Like the ones that involved grieving a relationship you never had.

Seungkwan shook his head realizing he was thinking about it again. He blew on his nails, knowing that wouldn't dry them any quicker before laying back. He let his hands hang off the back of his couch. It would take some time to dry.

The convenience store would be open until 12 am so he had some time. For now, he'll close his eyes and think about what he'll wear to his next show. While trying not to imagine Vernon in the crowd.

-

Vernon and his large annoyingly rowdy group of colleagues made it to the bar together in one piece.

At this point, Seungcheol had just about drowned the new recruit with alcohol and was blabbering about the bartender that was obviously not interested in his persistent flirting.
