Mum pulls up at the school and me and Luke grabbed our bags and got out of the car as Mum exited the car as well.
She approached us as she places her hands on Luke's shoulders.
Now, you both take care. Ok?, she said.
Bye, Mum, I said.
Goodbye, Mum, Luke said.
Oh, I don't think so. No, Sarah Jane's just fine, Mum said to Luke.
Maria approached us with a smile.
Oh, hi Maria, I said as I saw Mum kiss Luke on his cheek.
I soon heard the other school kids laugh.
Mum leaned towards me as I backed away.
Woah! Mum, please spare me the embarrassment and do not kiss me on my first day, I said with a nervous chuckle.
Mum shook her head as she laughed and got into her car and drove off.
We started to walk towards the school building.
Why were they laughing?, Luke said in confusion as I scoffed in disbelief.
First day, and you're having mum kissing you goodbye?, I said.
Is that bad?, Luke said.
Bit embarrassing. Plus, she so wants you to call her Mum, Maria said.
She said she didn't, Luke said.
It's not what she said, I said as we noticed a expensive looking building.
That's a bit flashy, Maria said.
It's a brand new building. There was an article about it in the paper, Luke said.
I wonder what's inside it?, I said in curiosity.
