Your eyebrows furrowed in hurt and confusion as you stared at the wide eyed brunet. "Jamil? Is this... true?" You mumbled out softly in disbelief. Grim scoffed at your side, paws coming up to rest on his hips. "So, you finally show your true colors! I bet you thought you were real slick, pullin' the wool over our eyes!"

Jamil's jaw tensed up for a second. "How... How much did you hear?" Jade grinned, polite but overwhelmingly smug. "All of it, from start to finish," he said. "Your entire conversation from the moment you left the lounge has been livestreamed to the world from Azul's smartphone."

"WHAT?!" Exclaimed the vice housewarden in complete and utter shock. Jade easily pulled his phone out of his pocket before presenting the screen to Jamil. "Azul's Magicam livestream presently has five thousand active viewers. It's trending online under the topic: "A Certain Magicians' School's Dirty Little Secret." It's your moment in the sun, Vice Housewarden. Naturally, all the dorm students are gathered in the lounge, watching you."

Jamil's breath hitched as several Scarabia students peeked out from around the corner of the hallway. "Vice Housewarden Jamil, is everything you just said true?" One questioned with a deep frown. Another's eyebrows were furrowed in anger rather than sorrow. "Have you really been deceiving us this whole time?!"

Glancing at your frozen figure, Grim immediately hopped in front of you to glare at the brunet. "Talk about a wolf in sheep's clothing! You're a fraud, through and through!" The cat hissed at him.

Finally regaining his senses, Jamil began to shake his head. "Y-You... You've got it all wrong. I..." He desperately tried to plead. Jade cut him off. "Don't even try to talk your way out of this one. The mind control magic you used on Azul is hard evidence. Jamil..." His smile turned predatory. "It's been you all along. You've been using your signature spell on Kalim and making him throw Scarabia into chaos!"

"Gh...! I was trying to avoid escalating matters, but you leave me no choice," he defended. "Azul, I command you! Subdue and restrain them all." Azul gave him a stiff nod. "...Yes, Master." You frowned at the silver haired male. "Azul..." You murmured sadly.

Jade held his chin up. "Azul, no. You don't want to do this. Snap out of it." He said sternly. Jamil scoffed and sneered at the seemingly futile attempt. "Pleading with him won't help!"

Azul, still with a blank look, shook his head. "Yes. I am Jamil's loyal minion..." Suddenly, the octopus turned to glare at Jamil before setting a hand on his hip with an eye roll. "...or at least, you wish I was."

"What?!" Azul cruelly laughed at Jamil's sudden outburst. "Jamil, you said the funniest thing to me earlier. Allow me to return the favor. You thought I was an arrogant magician, but you were sorely mistaken. An embarrassing misjudgment for the vice housewarden of Scarabia—the dorm that embodies the spirit of mindfulness."

You blinked a few times in disbelief before stepping forwards with your eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "Wait, you knew, Azul?" You asked. The male in question shrugged nonchalantly. "I had a hunch. I debated telling you, but unfortunately, Jamil seems to have a certain hold on people even without using his spell. I simply didn't think you would believe me." Azul resorted.

Eyes darting between different people, Jamil shook his head in disbelief. "What's going on? I know you made eye contact. I had you under control!" He cried.

With a scoffed, Azul rolled his eyes yet again before placing a hand on his chest. "Please. I'm a competent magician. I always prepare for all eventualities before I act." A smirk blossomed on his face before turning to one of the twins to who had been oddly silent during the exchange. "Isn't that right, Floyd?"

A brand new voice echoed from Floyd's voice causing your head to snap in his direction. "I think you let your guard down a little too soon there, Sea Snake." The baritone version of Floyd said. Bewildered with all the sudden revelations, you couldn't bring yourself to speak. Instead you just stood there with your mouth agape.
