Her lips moved against mine, hard.

I pulled her in closer by her waist, putting my hand behind her head to have a better grip on her.

It's not like she's going to float away, Caitlin. Get a grip.

"I'm sorry-" she said pulling away, making me drop my hand down to my side.

"Are you okay?" I asked, my eyebrows furrowed.

"Yeah." She whispered. "Your cute." She whispered, leaning in closer.

I laughed as I pulled away. Shaking my head at her.

"You're crazy." I said, walking away from her.

"What?" She asked with furrowed eyebrows, watching me walk away from her.

"Hayley, you broke into my house." I firmly said, turning around to stare at her.

She sighed and walked over to my bed, sitting down in the middle and staring at her feet.

"I need to tell you more about the whole mate thing." She whispered lifting her head up and staring at me.

"Alright. Go ahead." I said slowly walking closer to her.

"This whole thing is very serious, Caitlin. You're a werewolf, I'm surprised that you don't know more about the mating situation between every wolf." She spoke.

"Well if you were me my whole life you would understand." I beamed down at her, walking in front of her.

She sighed and scooted closer to the edge of the bed where I was standing. "Probably." She muttered.

"You and I are bonded for life, so it's kind of like were-" "Soulmates." I said softly interrupting her, making her nod her head in agreement.

"Yeah." She spoke.

"Okay but I thought soulmates were supposed to feel connected to their soulmate for their whole lives. I've never felt that connection to anyone." I said with furrowed eyebrows.

"Neither have I but that feeling? its constricted." She said, standing up.

"What why?" I asked.

"Because it's getting blocked by something." She said reaching for my hand.

"What? Something or someone?" I asked letting her hold my hand.

"I'm still not sure. But I have friends who are helping me figure it out." She told me.

"Witches?" I asked with even more furrowed brows.

"A few." She muttered. "But mostly the wolves from our pack."

"Our pack? No Hayley. I don't belong to a pack." I told her, letting go of her hand, making her pick my hand up again.

"Well obviously you do or otherwise we wouldn't be mates." She said squeezing my hand.

I sighed, just waiting for her to be finished so I could actually understand what's happening.

"Okay then what pack is that?" I asked with furrowed brows.

keep doing that and they'll stay stuck like that.

"My pack. The Crescent wolf pack." She said nodding her head slowly.

"Bitch I'm not dumb." I scowled at her, pulling my hands from her.

I walked away from her going back into the bathroom, brushing my teeth.

don't spit it out in front of her. that's nasty.

"Why did you find me now?"

"Because. Our pack is in trouble. For months now I have tried to get them back to human form but it's a curse." She spoke.

"What fucking curse?" I asked, pushing past her and back into my room.

Well, I tried but she grabbed my elbow and turned my body towards her.

haha. I bet your arm is going to fall off but how much she's grabbing that shit.

"The curse that Marcel Gerard put on our pack decades ago." She said venomously.

"What the fuck are you talking about?" I sneered at her.

So, I got a little protective over Marcel. Sue me.

"Yeah. Tough pill to swallow, isn't it? the kid you "Raised" Is a fucking killer, who is in charge of the New Orleans supernatural factions." She quietly spoke, getting close to my face.

I couldn't help one of my eyebrows arching at her attempt to intimidate me. I snorted out laughing at her.

"Your unbelievable." She whispered shaking her head at me. She dropped my arm and turned around making me internally groan.

I quickly sped in front of her, blocking her from leaving.

"How the fuck am I unbelievable? hm?" I sneered at her.

"It's our pack Caitlin. I thought you would give a shit." She looked up at me from under her eyelashes.

"I have never met any one of them so don't you dare try and manipulate me with that shit. Do you understand?" I quietly asked.

"I know that that was a rhetorical question so I'm choosing not to respond." She smiled up at me sarcastically before her smile dropped and she tried to push past me with an eyeroll.

I grabbed her arm and pushed backwards making her fall back on the bed.

"Let me ask one more question alright?" I asked walking closer to her.

"Mhm." She said with an eye roll.

"Watch your fucking attitude." I snapped.

She sighed and looked up at me with doe eyes, making me groan and bit my lip, rolling my head back.

"Why now?" I asked tilting my head forward to look at her.

She quickly sucked in a breath, making my eyebrows furrow unintentionally.

"About that..." She trailed off like she didn't know how to tell me.

"Dude just tell me." I spoke, urging to hear.

"You and I have to marry." She whispered.
